Marie Ann Muntz

Marie Ann Muntz-age 47 of Sharps Chapel passed away suddenly Monday, August 10, 2020 as the result of an automobile accident. Preceded in death by parents, Leonard and Mary Ilean Dillion. She was a very precious housewife and a friend to all.

Survivors left behind include her husband, Robert Muntz, Sharps Chapel; two sisters, Judy Mace and Linda Pickens, both of Indiana.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.

William "Billy" Mihaltian

William “Billy” Emery Mihaltian-age 72 of Luttrell passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at Big South Fork Medical Center. He had been a resident of Huntsville Manor Nursing Home. Billy was a retired contractor building houses and also operated the Union Ground Mall in Maynardville. Billy was an accomplished guitar player and drummer with various local bands. Preceded in death by father, Peter Mihaltian; sister, Angela Claire Mihaltian.

Sarah "Sissy" Wolfe

Sarah Ann “Sissy” Wolfe-age 63 of Thorn Hill passed away Monday afternoon, August 10, 2020 at her home. She was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Thorn Hill. Preceded in death by her father, Milton Allen; brother, Willie Allen and sister, Lennis Hensley.

Delores (Dee) Norris Koontz

Delores (Dee) Norris Koontz, age 89 of North Knoxville, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020. Preceded in death by parents, Mode and Lottie Riffey Mink; husbands, Clarence Norris and Dewey Koontz; son, Moe Norris; grandson, Michael Norris and all of Dee’s siblings. She is survived by her children, Saundra, Allen (Hazel), Darrell (Becky), Edna (Ricky), and David (Karen); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and several step children. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 11th at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.

Larry Woodrow Cox

“The Legend” Larry Woodrow Cox age 75 of Knoxville passed away at home on Thursday, August 6, 2020. Larry served in the United States Army from 1963-1966. Afterwards he joined the Knoxville Police Department and served from 1967-1996 when he was severely injured in an on the job car accident which resulted in him being disabled and unable to return to the job he loved.

Horst Saegebrecht

Horst Saegebrecht, age 79, of Corryton,TN, went on to be with the Lord August 3, 2020. Horst was a loving Father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by wife, Carolyn Saegebrecht, son, Dieter Saegebrecht and daughter, Doris Kimball.

Johnny E. Jones

Johnny E. Jones, age 81, of Halls formerly of the Gibbs community, passed away peacefully at his home 3:00pm Wednesday, August 5, 2020, surrounded by his family. He attended Graveston Baptist Church and faithfully read his bible daily. He was a 1957 graduate of Gibbs High School. He was the owner of Jones Refrigeration for many years. He was an avid Kentucky Wild Cat Basketball fan. Preceded in death by parents, Luella and Edmond Jones and brother Dr. Edward Branson.

Connie Smith Macklin

Connie (Smith) Macklin – age 64 of Maynardville, passed away suddenly on August 6, 2020. She was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by parents, Glen and Ina Mae Smith; and mother-in-law, Donna Macklin. Connie is survived by husband, Rick Macklin; siblings and spouses; and many nieces and nephews.

Daniel Lee Baker

Daniel Lee Baker, born October 24, 1946 in Knoxville, TN, passed away August 1, 2020 in Pigeon Forge, TN. Preceded in death by parents John Baker and Eula Effinore “Effie” Wilson Baker, brothers John Wayne and George Caswell Baker.

Julian Osborne

Julian Osborne, 18 yrs old, passed away July 30, 2020. She was a 2019 High School Graduate, currently enrolled at Walters State and was ready to take on the world. Julian loved adventure, outdoor activities and being with her friends. She leaves behind the love of her life Derek Norris and furbaby Molly. Her smile was contagious and will be missed beyond measure by family and friends. Georgia (Winona) Lester, age 93 of Knoxville, passed away at 8:07am on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at her home. Member of Walridge Baptist Church. She retired from Home Federal Bank after 40 years as Vice President and Assistant Branch Manager.

Preceded in death by parents Rose and Horace Lester; brothers Philip Lester and Paul Lester; sisters Evelyn (Sis) Lester, Alice Lester, Auba Lee Beeler Curington, Bernice Johnson; sister-in-law Emmerdelle Lester; nieces Barbara Lester Ingram, Patricia Beeler Lewis; and nephew David Johnson.

Aubie Tindell Nelson

Aubie Tindell Nelson -age 91, of Knoxville passed away August 4, 2020. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents Walter and Lurena Tindell and husband William Lee Nelson, Jr. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law Dean and Elizabeth Nelson, Tony and Jackie Nelson, Joel and Tammy Nelson; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Wayne Bolinger; grandchildren: Meredith, Christopher, Laura, Carolyn, Leigh, Ty, Kaley, Sarah, and Will; twelve great-grandchildren and special friend Glenda McCloud.

Susan Marie Weeks

Susan Marie Weeks, age 67 of Knoxville passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Born in Pierce County, Washington in 1953. Preceded in death by her parents, James and Frances Weeks; sister, Cheryl Ridge. Mary E. "Bill" Rouse

Mary Elizabeth (Bill) Rouse-age 83 of Sharps Chapel passed away Monday, August 3, 2020 at Willow Ridge Center. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Mary was a long time member of the Union County Home Demonstration Club, a member of the former Blazing Star Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a cook at Sharps Chapel Elementary School for several years where she treated all the children as her own and also worked at the Union County Senior Citizens Center.

Roger Kenneth Witt

Roger Kenneth Witt, age 73 of Knoxville passed away on July 31, 2020. A graduate of Fulton High School and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Charles H. McKinney Lodge #433, The American Legion Post 0172 (Clinton) and Amvets Post 2 (Oak Ridge). Member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church. Retired from CNS Y12 with 40 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents Roger K. Witt Sr. and Virginia Rose Witt.

Sammy Joe Bounds

Sammy Joe Bounds, 70, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, August 1, 2020. Sam was a proud Marine Corp veteran, Vietnam veteran and retired with 23 years devotion to the Corp. Sam also retired from the Knox County District Attorney’s office. He is preceded in death by his father Eugene Bounds, mother Laura Bounds, and brother Bobby Bounds.

Stevie Cassell

Stevie Martin Cassell - age 56 of Knoxville, passed away on August 1, 2020 at UT Medical Center surrounded by his wife and children after a long battle with Vascular Dementia. Steve was born on Dec. 29, 1963 to Fred and Rose (Williams) Cassell. Sadly, Steve lost his mother before his first birthday. God blessed him with another loving mother when his father married Betty. She raised Steve as her own and he loved her dearly. Steve was known for his awesome sense of humor and quick wit, if you spent any time with him you went away happy.

Anthony Todd Hutchison – age 36 of Maynardville, passed away suddenly July 30, 2020. He was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his father, Todd Hutchison; grandparents, Billy Lee Hutchison and Arthur and Wilma Amos; and aunt, Terri Amos. Anthony is survived by his mother, Kathy (Tim) Shoffner, grandmother, Agnes Hutchison; brothers, Bradley (Kristen) Hutchison and Victor (Kayla) Hutchison; nieces and nephews, Leslee, Graycee, Annzlee, Leeland; and special nephew, Levi.
