Dakota Dwain Runyon-age 24 of Maynardville passed away suddenly Sunday, December 6, 2020 at his home. Preceded in death by grandmother, Virginia Sweet; aunt, Linda Carroll.
Survivors: wife, Tiffany Eastwood; mother, Patricia Fisher; sisters, Carina Turner and Betty Runyon; nephews, Ricky Wayne Turner, III and Jesiah Turner. Cousins, Dustin Carroll and Doug Carroll. Several other family members and a host of friends.
Theo Harrell Coppock, Sr. – 78 of Maynardville, passed away peacefully Monday, December 7, 2020. He was a deacon and trustee of Alder Springs Baptist Church and a member of J. C. Baker Lodge.
He is preceded in death by parents, John L. and Alice Coppock; twin brother, Leo; and several sisters. Theo is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda (Warwick) Coppock; son, Harrell (Tracey) Coppock; daughter, Teresa (Mark) Turner; sisters, Martha Suffridge and Lois Perry; brother, Darrell Pendergrass; and several nieces and nephews.
Michael W. Bailey-age 53 of Maynardville went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 5, 2020 at his home. He was a lifelong member of Mountain View Church of God of the Union Assembly in Luttrell. Michael loved his church and was a true servant of the Lord. He had a special passion for singing and helped organize many benefit singings for special events. Michael was a well-known figure around Maynardville and was lovingly referred to as “The Mayor” and spent a lot of his time visiting the Union County Courthouse and the Food City in Maynardville.
Lisa Ann Moyers-age 55 of Sharps Chapel, born June 24, 1965 passed away suddenly Saturday, December 5, 2020 at her home. She was saved at Rush Strong Schoolhouse at an early age and was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Preceded in death by father, Wylie Carpenter; brothers, Jerry and Mark Carpenter; grandparents, Clarence and Tennie Mabe.
Survivors: parents, Kay and Bobby Shoffner; daughter, Heather (Michael) Jones; grandchildren, Charity Daniels, Lily Daniels, Paisley Jones, Luke Jones, Micah Jones; brothers, Joe Shoffner and Josh Shoffner.
Betty Grayson-age 91 of New Tazewell, born July 24, 1929 in Miami, Florida passed away Friday, December 4 2020 at her home after a struggle with cancer. She was a Jehovah’s Witness and encouraged everyone to read God’s word.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Powell; children, Dorothy (Jerry) Love; Jim (Terry) Grayson; Cathy (Scott) Smolinsky; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many special friends that were brothers and sisters to her. Several nieces and nephews.
Donna Marie (Haynes) Kitts – age 69 of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on December 4, 2020. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.
Tommy Stuart Chaffin-age 44 of Maynardville went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Tommy was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to many. He was a Captain with the City of Knoxville Fire Department with 21 years of service. Member and evangelist of Temple Baptist Church, Fountain City who always looked for an opportunity to spread the gospel. Preceded in death by parents, Tommy and Betty Chaffin; grandparents, Bill and Helen Creech.
Jack A. Atkins, Jr.-age 61 of Luttrell, born July 4, 1959 passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at U. T. Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid carpenter and loved fishing and camping. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Arthur and Bessie Atkins, Wren and Adele Collins; father, Jack A. Atkins, Sr.; step-father, J. W. Hickle.
Hettie Rose Cadle-age 93 of Bradley, Illinois graduated to her eternal home Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Bradley, Illinois. Rose was born January 27, 1927 in Harlan County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Martha J. Branam Rutherford. Rose married Elvin L. Cadle on September 28, 1946 in Robbins, Tennessee. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2003. Also preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, and four sons; Edwin Cadle, Tom Cadle, Tony Cadle and Ray Cadle. She attended Peoples Church in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
Doris Bullen Curran-age 64 of Washburn died early Sunday morning, November 29, 2020 after a long battle with Metastatic Stage 4 Breast Cancer. She was a retired employee of Grainger County Schools as a teacher’s assistant. She is preceded in death by her father, James Pryor “J.P.” Bullen; step-father, Paul Edward Branson; sister, Donna Throesch.
Hamilton Devine “H. D.” Beason-age 81 of Maynardville, born December 16, 1938 passed away suddenly Monday, November 23, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired automobile mechanic. He was an employee of Lay’s Body Shop for over 20 years. Preceded in death by parents, John and Abbie Beason; sister, Jerlene Beason; brother, Joe Neal Beason.
Lois M. Pugh-age 91 of Maynardville passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at her home while surrounded by her family. She was of the Baptist faith and a retired employee of General Dynamics as a machinist with 16 years of service. She loved to travel and family get-togethers.
Carl B. (Carlie) Kitts-age 65 of Maynardville went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 19, 2020 at his home. He as a member of Hubbs Grove Baptist Church and a retired Union County Deputy Sheriff. Preceded in death by parents, Carl and Tilda Bell Kitts; brother, Richard Kitts.
Uriel William Edde, Jr., 90, owner of Edde Chevrolet in Rutledge, Tn died on Tuesday November 17, 2020 at Tennova North Hospital in Powell, Tn. after a short illness. He was born in December 1929 to Uriel William and Laura Edde in Monroe County, Tn. He came from a farming family of 14 with only two siblings surviving his death, Jean Lee and Pete Edde. He married Lovenia Terry on December 30, 1950 and together they had three children: Cynthia Edde Humphries (David), Uriel William Edde III (Tammy), and Martha Edde.
Bailey Nichole Hickman of Maynardville born and passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at U. T. Medical Center. Preceded in death by grandfather, Audrey Runyon; great-grandfather, Roy Bailey.
Survivors: parents, Brandon and Jennifer Hickman; sisters and brothers, Kannessa, Lakeisha and Preston Hickman; grandparents, Larry and Shirley Hickman; Lori Cassidy; great-grandmother, Goldie Bailey. Several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jimmy J. Darnell-age 77 of New Tazewell, a native of Lewisburg, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at his home. He was preceded in death by girlfriend, Mary Jo Clark; sister, Dorothy Frank; brother, William Darnell.
Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Gary Anderson; granddaughter and her husband, LaRae and Brock Molnar; grandson, Jeremy Baker; great-granddaughter, Grace Taylor; great-grandson, Issac Molnar; sister, Edna (Liz) Hendericks; brother, Bobby Darnell. Several nieces and nephews.
Lucinda Ann Chapman-age 63 of Sevierville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 around 8 a.m. after battling stage 4 cancer. Cindy was a beloved mother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend.
Cindy is survived by her son, Tim Chapman, her daughter, Danielle Adkins, her sisters; Cathy Mayes and Sherrie Coffman, her brothers, Dave, Donald, Terry, and Danny Hunter and her mother, Credith Hunter.
Cindy was born in Ravenna Ohio on April 20, 1957.
She was a strong and independent woman who loved family gatherings and she was an avid baker and seamstress.

Anna Ruth (Chamberlain) McClintock-age 74 of Corryton went to be with Jesus and her loved ones Monday, November 16, 2020 at her home. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Preceded in death by son, Ricky Cameron; daughter, Robin Moore; parents, Swan and Trula Chamberlain; brothers, Jimmy, Paul, Sammy and Swan Chamberlain, Jr.; sisters, Barbara Brown and Joann Beeler.
Dennis Wayne Akers-age 53 of Tazewell, born December 2, 1966 in Pineville, Kentucky passed away suddenly Thursday, November 12, 2020 at his home. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Akers; parents, Sue and Dennis Akers; mother-in-law, Ellen Daniels.
He is survived by sons, Josh Akers and girlfriend, Gracie Mcleod; Daniel Akers and girlfriend, Kaitlyn Bailey; sisters, Shirley (Steve) Brock, Tammy (Dewey) Reeder as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
