Roland David Seymour

Roland David Seymour, 77, transitioned from this life to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 3, 2020.

David was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. David was the son of James and Nellie Pauline Seymour. He graduated from Halls High School (1960), The University of Tennessee (1965), and The University of Florida (1968). David served in the Tennessee Air National Guard 1960-1966. Service included being activated for the duty at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, during the Berlin Crisis. He retired from Bellsouth Telecommunications after 33 years of service in Florida and New York City.

Eugene D. Monroe

Eugene “Gene” Monroe-age 85 of Maynardville passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at his home. He was a graduate of Horace Maynard High School and served in the United States Army Reserve. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Bonnie Palmer Monroe; brother, Gareth Palmer Monroe and wife Zena; sisters Mary Josephine Meyer and Willa Sue Cox.

Phyllis Jarboe

Phyllis Jarboe – age 85 of Knoxville, born October 7, 1935 in Evarts, Kentucky, passed away peacefully, October 10, 2020 at Baptist Health of Corbin, Kentucky. She was a retired West High School teacher in Knoxville, teaching Business and Economics for 30 years. Phyllis was also a dog lover.

Mary L. Hayes

Mary Louise Hayes-age 79 of Maynardville passed away peacefully Monday, October 12, 2020 at her home. Mary was a proud Navy wife of 30 years and a member of Mountain View Church of God of the Union Assembly, Luttrell. She was the 1988 woman of the year of the Paisano E. H. Club in Kleberg County, Kingsville, Texas. Mary was preceded in death by parents, Oscar Ray and Ella Kate Johnson; brother, Leonard Ray Johnson.

Ronnie E. Perry

Ronnie Eugene Perry-age 51 of Luttrell passed away peacefully 12:05 P.M. Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by father, Alfred Perry; brothers, Alfred (Cotton) Perry, Jr. and David Perry; nephews, Anthony Brogan, Bradley, Brandon, Andy and Adam Coffey.

Survivors: mother, Edna Perry; sisters, Sue (Clyde) Coffey, Mary (Duane) Chandler; brothers, Mike Perry and Bobby (Charolette) Perry. Several nieces and nephews; one special great niece, Latoshia Hunter and a host of friends.

Billy H. "Toad" Buckner

Billy “Toad” Buckner-age 80 of Maynardville passed away Thursday, October 8th, 2020 at Claiborne Medical Center. Billy was born February 18, 1941 in Maynardville, TN to the late Susie and Frank Buckner. Billy is preceded in death by the love of his life Betty Jo, son Ricky, grandson Doug, brothers Ray, Frank, Pat, Lynn and sister, Mildred. He was a U. S. Army Veteran.

James C. Rose, Jr.

James C. Rose, Jr. of Maynardville, Tennessee, was born on Christmas Day in 1962 and passed away at home on October 9, 2020 at the age of 57. James, or Jimmy as his family called him, was of the Episcopal faith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Bentley Rose, and nephew, Joey Kowalewski. He is survived by wife, Lori Byerley Rose, daughter, Sarah Rose, and daughter in law, Nikki Lemons, father, James “Bud” Rose, Sr., sister, Connie Kowalewski and husband Steven “Bock”, brother Robert Rose and wife Denyse, and niece Kayla Kowalewski.

Larry Renfro Fox

Larry Renfro Fox-age 71 of Washburn passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at his home. He was of the Baptist faith and a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was a loving husband and father.

Survivors: wife of 52 years, Nancy L. Fox; son, Richard Fox; daughter, Kelly Colbrook. Three grandchildren.

Gilliam David Boothe, III

Gilliam David Boothe, III-age 64 of Sharps Chapel went to be with his Heavenly Father Tuesday evening, October 6, 2020. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Halls. He was an electrician and employed through I.B.E.W. Local Union 760. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather who loved to play guitar and loved his furry companion, Marlee. Preceded in death by parents, Gilliam David, Jr. and Mattie Lee Boothe.

Amanda Lord

Amanda Shauntae Lord – age 42 of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on October 1, 2020. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by brother, Robbie Lord. Amanda is survived by daughter, Mary Shea Hernandez; and son, Zachery Pratt; parents, Sherry Sexton and Bobby (Sharon) Lord; granddaughter, Aalyah Hernandez; fiancé, Ken Davis; and several aunts and uncles.

John R. Allen

John R. Allen, 86, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus Friday October 2nd, 2020. He was a member of TN Ave Baptist Church and lived in the Lonsdale Community for 80 plus years where he was affectionately known as the "Mayor of Londsdale". John was a man of many talents and loves from stock car racing to coaching baseball for 20 plus years, an avid fisherman to owning and operating A&A Body Repair for 56 years. He was the renowned lead singer of Johnny Allen and the Country Cowboys. He was a true Braves Baseball Fan and followed his team faithfully.

Clayton Jasper Miller

Clayton Jasper Miller-age 46 of Luttrell passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020. He was preceded in death by mother, Margaret Ann Smith Miller; father, William Luther Miller; sister, Lean Miller.
Survivors: wife, Shannon Miller of Luttrell; daughters, Miranda, Hannah and Nevaeh; grandchildren, Jasper Holmes and Bella Holmes; brother, Luther Miller and wife, Claudia.

Jean Elizabeth Miller

Jean Elizabeth Miller, 95, of LaFollette, TN, passed away October 1, 2020, at LaFollette Medical Center. She was born September 27, 1925, in Knoxville, TN, the daughter of the late Willie Geneva Childers. She graduated from Central High School in 1944 and Knoxville Business College. Jean loved her dogs and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, attending church and entertaining friends and family. Jean is proceeded in death by Rev. John T. Miller, husband of 47 years and Paris Fleming, husband of 12 years; brother Richard W. Nichols and wife Ruby Nichols. She is survived by her nephew Dr.

John Baker

Johnny Oscar Baker (Poppy)-age 83 of Maynardville was born January 20, 1937 passed away peacefully Friday, October 2, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family following a brief battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia Baker; father, Wilfred Baker; mother, Eva Strader Baker; brothers, Wayne Lee and Howard (Wimpy) Baker; sister, Betty Jean Williams; daughter, Sandy Morris; grandson, Bradley Wheat and son Charles Rutherford.

Danny Edward Davis

Danny Edward Davis-age 62 of Corryton passed away Saturday evening, September 26, 2020 at U. T. Medical Center. He was a member of Victory Church, New Tazewell and the Team Up Ministries. Danny was a retired employee of Merita Bread Bakery. He was a loving father and grandfather. Preceded in death by parents, Garland and Margaret Davis; brother, Larry Davis.

Ophelia Graves Washam Williams

Ophelia Graves Washam Williams-age 85 of Luttrell gained her angel wings Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at her home. She was a lifetime member of Mountain View Church of God, Luttrell. She loved her Jesus, her family and to know her was to love her. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Bobby Washam and Doffise Williams, her parents, Theodore and Bonnie “Rouse” Graves along with four brothers.
