Marvin “Wayne” Jones – age 54 of Maynardville, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 13, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. He will always be known for the strength and courage he showed while fighting this disease and his heart of gold. The love for his family and friends was never ending. Wayne had a love for baseball, Nascar and music. He loved watching his son, Evan play baseball. The bond they had was indescribable. Wayne graduated from Central High School and went on to graduate from Roane State.

Linda Jackie (Chumley) Caldwell-age 62 of New Tazewell passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 at her home. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Cumberland Gap. Preceded in death by husband, Mac Caldwell; parents, Curt and Pansy Chumley; sisters, June Keck, Rose Mary Sheckles, Nancy Irvin, Susie Brantley; brothers, Jerry Chumley, James Luther Chumley.

Don Reid Bridges - passed away peacefully at home March 16, 2021, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born September 22, 1956 to Don Keith Bridges and Patricia Monroe Bridges. He is preceded in death by his father, Don Bridges; and loving grandparents, Garlin and Alva Bridges and Irby and Ruth Monroe. Reid was a gifted craftsman, much like his grandfather, Irby Monroe.

Susan M. Ramaglia, - age 71 of Washburn, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 14, 2021.

She is preceded in death by parents, John and Thelma Ramaglia. Susan is survived by brothers, Richard and John Ramaglia; and sister, Judy Ramaglia all of Washburn.

Johnny Wayne Johnson - age 55 of Powell, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on March 11, 2021. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Volunteer Aerie #3559. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Alfred Lowell Thomas, Jr.-age 72, of Mascot, formerly of Speedwell, born Aug. 4, 1948 departed this life to be with Jesus, Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at U. T. Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith and saved at a very young age. Preceded in death by parents, Alfred Lowell Thomas, Sr. and Carrie Caldwell Thomas. Brother, Ronnie Thomas.

Michael Wayne Hensley-age 38 of Luttrell passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 at his home. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.

Survivors: children, Jacob Hillard of Knoxville; Kourtney Hensley of Luttrell; Blake Hensley of Corryton; parents, Raymond and Karen (Muncey) Hensley; brother, Steven Hensley, all of Luttrell; sister, Ashley Willing and husband, Joey of Aiken, South Carolina. Two nephews and one niece. Several aunts, uncles along with a host of friends.

Betty Ruth Davis – age 69 of Washburn, went home to be with the Lord, March 8, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was a member of Dutch Valley Baptist Church.

Frankie “Cotton” Collins, born into this world August 7, 1931. With the hope he received on the day he was saved, he used it when he took his last breath on March 8, 2021. He was a small man in stature, but had a big heart. Cotton was a friend to anyone that knew him. He was a member of Central View American Christian Church and lifetime member of the Odd Fellows.

Bobby Ray Alton Pryor – 28 of Knoxville, passed away suddenly March 3, 2021.

He is survived by parents, Karen Bennett and Charles Pryor; grandparents, Mamie and Buddy Burnette and Betty Clark; siblings, Brittany (Chris) Martinec, Charles Jacob Pryor (Alyssa Bills), Sydney Pryor and Caleb Pryor; nieces, Bryn Pryor and Penelope Rae Martinec.

Dexter Granville Loveday, Jr.-age 78 of Knoxville passed away Sunday morning, March 7, 2021 at Creekview Health and Rehab. He was the son of the late Dexter Granville, Sr. and Velma McInturff Loveday.
Survived by nieces and nephews.

Tony Lynn Brown-age 52 of Maynardville passed away suddenly Sunday morning, March 7, 2021 at his home. He was a member Pennington Chapel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by wife, Karen Hensley Brown; daughter, Tonya Brown; parents, Wayne and Bea (Asbury) Brown; sister, Mary Brown; brother, Michael Brown; sister-in-law, Sheila Brown.

Helen Marie (McBee) Cox – age 93 of Maynardville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 6, 2021, peacefully at home with her children by her side. She was saved when she was 16 years old and was a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Larry Keith Merritt-age 58 of Maynardville passed away Friday afternoon, March 5, 2021 at Dyersburg Hospital, Dyersburg, Tennessee and had been a resident of Reelfoot Manor Nursing Home. He was saved at First Baptist Church of Maynardville. Preceded in death by parents, Roy and Johnnie Lou (Heiskell) Merritt.

Corum, Joy Richardson- age 72, born June 22 1948, passed away March 1, 2021 suddenly during an extended illness. Preceded in death by husband of 40 years, Richard Edgar Corum, infant daughter, Mary Ruth Corum. Maternal grandparents C.H. (Charlie) and Roma Jessee Laws. Paternal grandparents Luther and Susie Sexton Richardson. Parents Willie Edgar (Bill) and Louise Laws Richardson, Mother and Father-in-law Edna (Booker) and Edgar Corum. Nephew, Todd Richardson.

Betty Ann Sanders-age 61 of Sharps Chapel passed away suddenly Saturday, February 27,2021 at her home. Preceded in death by son, Bradley Douglas; parents, John H. and Carrie (Sharp) Sanders; brother, Raymond Sanders; brother-in-law, Hershel Dyke.
Survivors: Grandson, Max Douglas of Knoxville; three sisters, Louise and Harold Brantley of Sharps Chapel; Barbara Dyke, Linda and Mike Lane of Knoxville; three brothers, Donnie and Sue Sanders; Bobby and Carolyn Sanders, all of Seymour; John Sanders of Maynardville. Several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.

Nicole Marie (Shaner) Lockhart- age 48 of Luttrell passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was a member of The Little Brown Church in Sharps Chapel. She was a longtime employee for the Union County Public Schools and worked for a wonderful boss, Eddie Graham.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl and Martha Shaner and Edward and Elnora Topp; father-in-law, Daniel Lockhart and brother-in-law, Matt Clevinger.

Delphine Evans Thomas-age 58 of Knoxville, formerly of Union County passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Preceded in death by father, David Evans; mother, Loriene Nicely.
Survivors: brother, Ronnie Lynn Evans; sister, Crystal Gail Cooke; nephews, Daniel Evans, Cory Goforth, Benjamin Cecil, Adam Evans; aunt, Clayrissa Hill; uncle, Jimmy Evans along with a host of friends.

Misty Norton-age 41 of Knoxville passed away Friday, February 19, 2021. Misty had a kind and generous heart and will be immensely missed!

She is preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Houston.

She is survived by her 9-year old daughter, Abigail Makenzie Guyton; mother, Angela Keck; brothers, Casey Houston and Matthew Houston; sister, Paige Houston along with several nieces and nephews.

No services are scheduled at this time, the family has chosen cremation. Donations can be made at the funeral home.

Harold Wayne Beason – 69 of Maynardville, passed away March 1, 2021 at North Knox Medical Center. He was a member of Community Baptist Church. Harold enjoyed painting, vintage cars, hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by parents, Paris “Short” and Sally Beason. Harold is survived by daughters, Tonia and Jason Heiskell and Shelby Beason and Conner Forward; grandson, Jacob Heiskell; sister, Linda and Steve Branum; nephew, Brandon Henry; and special friend, Carolyn Warwick.
