Lavada Cooke Aker

Lavada “Cookie” Carol Cooke Aker, age 85, of Maynardville, passed away April 23, 2020, at Maple Court Senior Living Facility. Lavada was a professing believer of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Born in Sharps Chapel, Lavada spent a large portion of her life in Washington D.C., while working for the FBI. Many lifelong friends were made from both locations. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Aker; son, Kevin Aker; parents, Milton and Vesta Cooke; brothers Ora, Roy, and Buddy Cooke; sisters Frances Cooke, Maggie Monroe, and Myrtle June Porter.

Angel Houser Wagner

Angel Marlena (Houser) Wagner-age 42 of Knoxville passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. She attended Horace Maynard High School and was of the Baptist faith. Glenetta Shoffner-age 75 of Sharps Chapel passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Diversicare of Claiborne County. Member of Highland Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Joe and Elsie (England) Odell; all of her brothers and sisters.

Kasie Masingo

Kasie Masingo age 34 of Sharps Chapel was born December 13, 1985. She passed away on April 19, 2020 at her home. Kasie's beauty and smile lit up any room she walked into. She loved a good joke, and her laugh was contagious. Kasie was a former employee of Volunteer Knit in Tazewell.

She loved her nieces Savanna, Maria, and her nephew Dakota very much. She was dearly loved by her mother, Florence Monroe, her father, Charles (Chub) Masingo and step-mother, Brenda; her brother, Junior Masingo and Dulcie. She will be dearly missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Lilly Marie Wilson – age 51 of Blaine, passed away, Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at her home. She was a member of Little Valley Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by parents, Benton and Reba Stiner; children, Precious Ann and Rebbeca Hope Wilson; and brother Steven Stiner. Lilly is survived by husband, Henry Wilson; children, Jessica Stiner, Michael Wilson and MacKenzie Pratt, Allison Wilson and Adam Hodge; Joshua Wilson and Ashley Coleman; five granddaughters; three grandsons; sister, Jean (Junior) Raby; brother, Frankie Stiner; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Dewey Charles Idol-age 67 of Rutledge, born July 27, 1952 passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at his home. He was a retired employee of Travis Meats with 32 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clair and Ruby (Brock) Idol; his wife, Minnie B. Idol.

Tim “Fish” Troutman – 64 of Corryton passed away, Thursday, April 9, 2020 at North Knoxville Medical Center. He loved to race mountain bikes and fish. Tim is of the Baptist faith.

He was a jack of all trades and currently an employee of Williams Tractors, Maynardville. Paris was a gentle soul, Kind-hearted and loved by all who knew him. Preceded in death by father, W. T.
