Norma Jewell Cooper Faust

Norma Jewell Cooper Faust, age 80 of Knoxville went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Jewell lived a full and joyful life filled with many wonderful friends. She always had a way of making anyone she was with feel special and loved. Jewell enjoyed spending time with family, especially watching her grandsons play sports. Jewell is preceded in death by her mother and father, Paris and Ruby Cooper and sister, June Alexander.

She is preceded in death by her son, Johnny Matthew Strevel, parents, Martin and Gertrude Pratt Muncey, sister, Sharon Muncey; brother, Clifford Muncey.

Betty Jo Owens Fields

Betty Jo Owens Fields age 84 formally of Rutledge, passed away Monday, February 24, 2020. Preceded in death by parents Millard and Georgie Owens; siblings Ruth, Helen, Harold, Barbara Kay, and Don. Survived by her son Brian Fields (Angie); grandchildren Kara Ladd (Kaden), Kelsey Cox (Ross), Samantha Abbott (Andrew), and Austin Fields; great-grandchildren Joshua Abbott, Natalie Abbott, and Violet Ladd; siblings Monty, Mable, Nancy, Lawrence, and Mary; special niece Sabrina Green (Shane & Austin) several other nieces and nephews.

Ruby D. Miller

Ruby D. Miller – age 94 of Maynardville, passed away February 21, 2020. She was the only surviving charter member of Union Chapel Baptist Church. Ruby retired from Standard Knitting Mills after 44 year of service.

She is preceded in death by husband, J. L. Miller; and son-in-law, Carl Clapp. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Kay Lynn Clapp of Maynardville; grandchildren, Heather (Jon) Turner and Ethan Clapp; and many nieces and nephews.

Mandy Moore Dover-age 60 of Corryton passed away Thursday morning, February 20, 2020 at her home. She attended Little Flat Creek Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Henry and Annie Moore; brother, Hobert Moore; mother-in-law, Emaline Dover.

Dean Palmer Stiner

Dean Palmer “Moe” Stiner-age 87 of Sharps Chapel, born May 28, 1932 passed away Saturday morning, February 15, 2020 at his Knoxville home. Dean was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War and served August, 1953 through May, 1956. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion. He was also a member of the Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard and served during many military graveside services. Preceded in death by wife, Shirley Sexton Stiner; parents, Carly Frank and Lelia Charlotte Beeler Stiner and an infant brother; brother-in-law, Steven Sexton.

Robert "Robbie" Johnson, III

Robert Lee (Robbie) Johnson, III – age 34 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Sunday, February 16, 2020.

He is preceded in death by father, Robert Lee (Bob) Johnson, Jr.: grandparents and great grandparents, and uncle and aunt. Robbie is survived by mother, Vicky Morelock; daughters, Danika and Cassidy; fiancée, Katrina Kelly; sisters, Danielle, Jennifer (Roger); several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and special cousins and friends.

Darrell Lynn Beason

Darrell Lynn Beason – 52 of Sharps Chapel, gained his wings on February 16, 2020.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Aaron “Pete” and Jewel Beason and Elmer and Betty Rouse; and special aunt, Peggy Rouse. Darrell is survived by parents, Wayne and Mary Evelyn (Rouse) Beason.

Mary Sue Ogle – 73 of Knoxville formerly of Luttrell, went to join the Angels of Heaven and our Lord and Savior on February 14, 2020 at U T Medical Center. She was a member of Arlington Baptist Church.

Joe Mcelroy Raby

Joe M. Raby-age 80 of Sharps Chapel passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 at his home. Joe retired after 32 years of service with Local 50 in Oak Ridge. Preceded in death by parents, Tillmon Franklin and Lola Edith Raby along with nine siblings.

Survivors: wife, Tonya Raby; daughters, Kim (Tommy) Rhea, Kandy Hensley, Lori (Bruce) Williams and Olivia (Josh) Williams. Brother, James Raby; sister, Nettie Betsill. Grandchildren, Chloe, Adelyn, Westlee, Sylas and Easton. Several nieces and nephews.

James D. DeVault, Sr.

James Darrell “Jimmy” DeVault, Sr.-age 71 of Corryton passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Fort Sander’s Regional Medical Center. Jimmy was a retired employee of I.U.O.E. Local 917, Knoxville. He was a member and master mason at Corryton Lodge #321 F. & A.M. and was currently serving an elected term as Road Commissioner for the seventh district of Union County. Preceded in death by wife, Bonnie Mayfield DeVault; parents, Ben and Zelpha DeVault; brother, Boyd DeVault; special grandson, Tyler Atkins.
