Mary Frances Wallace, age 92, born March 22, 1925, passed away January 6, 2018 at her home in Corryton. She was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. Mary retired from St. Mary’s Hospital after 27 years of dedicated service. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vestal Joe Gass; second husband, Fred Wallace; son, Jimmy Gass; parents, Albert & Ula Anderson; sisters, Helen and Betty; brother, Howard.

Brandon Graves, age 33, went to be with the Lord Thursday January 4th, 2018. He is preceded in death by parents Bobby Ray Graves and Margaret Rochester, and also grandfather Albert Hammack. He is survived by life partner Gary Beal, brother Bobby Graves Jr., aunt Louise Huling, and other loved ones. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 9th, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City, with a memorial service to follow. Pastor Larry Woods will be officiating.

Jerry (Mikey) Massengill, went to be with The Lord January 6, 2018. He was preceded by father Earl Massengill, and brothers: Dennis Massengill and Wayne Massengill. Mikey is survived by mother Alma Jean Massengill, brother Johnny Massengill, brother Red Massengill, sister Cheryl Pace “David”, sister Jennie Cooper “Mike”, brother Jimmy Massengill, and several nieces and nephews. L. Vonzo "Von" Rodgers

L. Vonzo “Von” Rodgers, age 78, of Heiskell, TN passed away on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018. He was a United States Navy Veteran and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by wife of 35 years, Rebecca Phillips Rodgers, parents Caney and Icie Moreland Rodgers, and siblings Herman, Walter, Frank Rodgers and Leta Harbin. He is survived by children Lavonda (Shane) Lambert and Steven (Erica) Rodgers, grandsons Brandon and Logan Lambert and soon to be born Easton Rodgers, twin brother L.

Warren Calvin "Sonny" Parker, Jr.

Warren Calvin Parker Jr., affectionately known as Sonny-age 64 of Bean Station went to be with the Lord Friday evening, January 5, 2018 at The Heritage Center in Morristown with his loving sister and life-long caretaker by his side. He was a sweet and very loving brother and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his father, Warren C. Parker, Sr., mother, Betty Ruth Long Parker, infant sister, Nancey Parker; grandparents, Robert and Hattie Parker; John and Eva Long, brother-in-law, Richard "Pug" Bishop.

Anthony (Tony) R. Clem

Anthony (Tony) R. Clem, age 35, of Knoxville passed away Friday January 5th, 2018. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He is preceded in death by mother Candy Clem. He is survived by son Macksum Clem, father Neil Clem, brother Brett Clem, Aunt Pam Hill Moyers, and several nieces and nephews. Robert Lee White

Robert Lee White (RL) – May 28th 1937 – January 4th 2018 . Founder of R&W Supply and member of Callahan Road Baptist Church. He loved his family with no limits, was an avid golfer at Whittle Springs & Knoxville Municipal Golf Courses, loved to laugh and sing and was always quick with a joke or one of his many stories. He never met a stranger or had a hard word for anyone. He passed away peacefully at his home after an extended battle with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. God blessed him with a happy spirit and the ability to know his family to the very end.

Victor Lee Childress

Victor Lee Childress, age 63 of Halls, passed away on Tuesday January 2, after a long battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Halls, TN and attended Halls High School. Vic was a devoted husband and son, who enjoyed many different hobbies. He was a fabulous cook and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed raising animals of all kinds, and flying his drone. Vic was preceded in death by his mother, Daisy Childress and numerous aunts and uncles.

Myra L. White

Myra L. White, age 58 of Luttrell, went to be with the Lord Wednesday January 3, 2018. She was an amazingly loving, caring and beautiful person inside and out. There are not enough words to describe how much she meant to so many people, especially her daughter. Preceded in death by parents Faye and Ed Collett. Survived by husband Joe White and only daughter and best friend April White. Family will receive friends Sunday 4:00p.m.-6:00p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with service to follow at 6:00p.m. Rev. Bill Berry, Rev. Glen Davis, and Rev John Collett will be officiating.

Jean Fender

Jean Fender, age 85, passed away December 30, 2017. She retired from Joliet Terrace Nursing Home. Preceded in death by parents Raymond and Edith Dippold; brother and sister-in-law Arkel and Dorothy Dippold; and son-in-law Don Cole Jr. Left to cherish her memory are children Jim (Janet) Fender and Diane (Rob) Payton; granddaughters Kristen Cole and Laurie Cole; and several nieces and nephews. Eddie Earl Phibbs

Eddie Earl Phibbs, age 70, of Andersonville went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2017 after a brave battle with cancer. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher. He was a retired Drafting Engineer who loved antique cars and frequented many car shows with his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Lorine Phibbs; half-brothers, Robert and Buddy Phibbs; half-sisters, Mary Louise Phibbs and Juanita Adcock.

Cleo Bradley Capps

Cleo Bradley Capps, age 86, of Powell, went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2017. She was a member of Beaverdale Baptist Church. She has attended Sharon Baptist Church for the last 18 years. She worked at Standard Knitting Mill for 34 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude & Roxie Bradley and brother, Glenn Bradley. She is survived by husband, J.B. Capps; a very devoted and loving son, Doug Capps; her twin brother, Leo Bradley; sisters, Ruby Ridner, Imogene McElroy, Evelyn Keith, and Claudine Williams, and several nieces and nephews.

Rick Lee Fox

Rick Lee Fox-age 66, of Ooltewah, TN passed away on December 30, 2017 at Hospice of Chattanooga after suffering many years from the complications of cardiovascular disease. He was born September 23, 1951 in Indianapolis, Indiana and graduated from Fulton High School and the Tennessee Institute of Electronics in Knoxville, TN. He was baptized at Edgemoor Baptist Church in Clinton, TN and is currently a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. He retired from the Mueller Company in Chattanooga, and was dedicated to his beloved family and friends.

Dorothy (Dottie) Marie Anderson Calloway Zirkle

Dorothy (Dottie) Marie Anderson Calloway Zirkle passed away on December 28, 2017, after a brief illness. Born on September 13, 1925, Dottie was the youngest of Sam and Edith Anderson’s 12 children. She loved to share that she was born in the basement of her grandparents’ house. Birthdays were a special event for Dottie—a true time of celebration. She was thrilled to reach her 90th birthday, celebrating in her bathing suit!

Richard Steven "Steve" Geames

Richard Steven “Steve” Geames, age 63, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Thursday, December 28th, 2017, after putting up a hard fight against cancer. He was born November, 24th 1954 in Knoxville, TN and graduated from Gibbs High School in 1972. Steve was a beloved father, an Army Veteran, and most importantly a follower of our Lord and Savior. Steve was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN. He was preceded in death by father C.W. Geames. He is survived by mother, Carrie Geames. Children: Amanda, Michael and his wife Tara, Ashley, and Cody.

Gregory Lynn Loy, born September 9, 1959, passed away at Fort Sanders Hospital at 7:11 pm, December 27, 2017. He was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Loy and father, John Lee Loy. He is survived by his mother, Wanda F. Bruner; sisters, Cheryl Stanifer and Diane Loy; son, Justin Loy and his loving mother and friend, Angie Pollard; daughter, Shauna Varnell Loy. Cremation has been chosen.
