John T. Wright

John T. Wright, age 67, passed away December 28, 2018.He worked at family owned Dick Wright Hardware since he was a boy. He was a Vol fanatic and loved anything UT. He was a member of Bookwalter United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by parents Richard Wright, Jr. and Katherine Wright; and brother Richard Wright III and wife Kathy Wright. He is also preceded by several aunts and uncles. He is survived by Judy Wright, wife of 30 Years; daughters Missy (Michael) Fox, Gina Wright Essary and fiancé Perry Thompson; son Clint Wright; step-sons Ernie, Jr.

Bryce Browning

Bryce Browning, age 25 of Powell, passed away December 28, 2018. He was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church. He was a huge Vol fan and a sports fanatic. He was a TSSAA referee for years. Bryce was sweet, compassionate, loving, and had a heart of gold. He is preceded in death by grandfather J.D. Jett and grandparents, Bob and Nina Browning. Survived by parents Steve and Jill Browning, siblings Haley Morgan Browning and J.T. Browning, grandmother Johnnie Jett, fiancé Ashley Renea Crowley, his boys Landon and Noah, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Larry Edward Elliot

Larry Edward Elliott, 75, of Knoxville passed away at his home the morning of December 28, 2018.
Larry was an employee of Bellsouth with over 40 years of service. He served in the United States Army where he spent the bulk of his enlistment as a Drill Instructor at Ft. Polk Louisiana. He was a member of Bright Hope Lodge, Scottish Rite, Kerbella Temple and the Klown Korp.

Cleo Mae Nicely

Cleo Mae Brown Nicely-age 95 of Halls, formerly of Washburn, born May 11, 1923 went to be with our Lord and Saviour Friday, December 28, 2018 at home with her daughter and family. Cleo was a longtime member of Pennington Chapel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Denver Nicely; parents, Willie and Molly Brown; brothers, Lon, Neal, Wayne and Glen Brown.

Helen B. Stone

Helen Brooks Stone died peacefully at home on December 26, 2018 in Knoxville Tennessee at the age of 89. She is preceded in death by her father, Claude T. Brooks and her mother, Esther Lawson Brooks, her older sisters, Marjorie Brooks Herbert, Hazel Brooks Corder and brother, Claude Brooks, Jr. (Bud).

Ruby Grace Bradley Ridner, age 97 of Knoxville, passed away on December 26, 2018 at NHC Knoxville. She was a member of Beaverdale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by daughter Dorothy Stargle; parents Claude and Roxie Smart Bradley; husband J.C. Ridner; sisters Imogene McElroy (Ray) and Cleo Capps; brother Glenn Bradley; brothers in law Carl Keith and Arthur Williams. She is survived by sisters Evelyn Keith and Claudine Williams; brother Leo Bradley; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ramel Rosezella Carter

Ramel Rosezella ( Eden ) Carter - age 81, of Luttrell went to Heaven on Monday, December 24, 2018. She was a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Ramel is a retired CNA from Hillcrest Nursing Home. She is preceded in death by her son, Little J. B. Wyrick Jr.; father, James Eden; mother, NeElmo Boles; and brother, Jimmy Eden.

James White Jr., age 72 of Knoxville, passed away on December 26, 2018. He was a member of Emory Valley Baptist Church. He loved camping and four-wheeling. He retired from Y-12. Preceded by wife, Glenda White; parents, James White Sr. and Lillie Mae Murr White. Survived by children, Jason White, Josh White, Jeremy White, David White, Matthew White, several grandchildren; sister, Juanita Bright; several nieces and nephews. Ruth “Imogene” Pelleaux Rutherford

Ruth “Imogene” Pelleaux Rutherford – age 98 of Halls, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at North Knox Medical Center. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church for 64 years. She worked at Standard Knitting Mills in the payroll office for 10 years. Imogene loved to send cards to her many friends and family often. Preceded in death by husband of 49 years Charles M. Rutherford, Son: C. Michael Rutherford, Father: Fred L. Pelleaux, mother: Cassie E. Messamore Pelleaux Davis, step-father: John H. Davis, and step-sister: Reda Davis Farmer.

Joshua Shane Brown

Joshua “Shane” Brown, age 34 of Knoxville, passed away December 24, 2018. Shane was a huge jokester who was always pulling pranks. He had a big heart for people and he adored his nephews. He was such a kind, loving person, who always put others ahead of himself. Preceded in death by father Raymond Brown Jr., grandparents Ernest and Betty Ingle and Raymond Sr. and Delpha Brown, sister Pam, and niece Robin.

Dale Eugene Cheatham

Dale Eugene Cheatham, age 56, went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2018. Dale was of the Baptist faith and was a faithful member of University Avenue Baptist Church until its closing. Preceded in death by wife Cookie Wyrick Cheatham, parents Elmer Cheatham Sr. and Luvina Browning Cheatham, brother Robert Wayne Cheatham, sisters Jane Russell and Kathrine Cheatham. Survived by brother Elmer Cheatham Jr., daughter Leeann Chappell, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved very much.

Deborah White Hurst, age 63 of Knoxville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2018. Preceded in death by parents Rev. Grant & Frances White, infant son Richard Grant, brothers Bob, Harold, Rick and Troy, and sister Ruth. Survived by son Jerry Hunley White (Jaguar) and brother J.T. White. Alma Beatrice Conklin-age 93 of Maynardville, formerly of Washingtonville, New York passed away Thursday evening, December 20, 2018 at Willow Ridge Center. She was of the Presbyterian faith. She was a very family-oriented person and a very loving person who also loved to dance. Alma was preceded in death by Husband, Elmar Conklin; son, Louis Curry; five brothers and three sisters.

Siretta Nelson

Siretta Belva Lee Nelson – age 93, formerly of Loudon and Sharps Chapel, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by husbands, Lawrence Mashburn and Haskell Nelson; and eleven siblings. Siretta is survived by daughter, Carolyn Mashburn Johnson; sons, Junior, Gerald, Ronny and Danny Mashburn; fifteen grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
