Jackie Hodge-age 70 of Maynardville went to Heaven to be with the Lord, Thursday evening, October 3, 2019 at his home. He was of the Baptist faith, an evangelist and served as a Deacon for many years and loved to serve his Lord singing and playing his guitar in church. He loved to spend his time with his grandkids and family. He was a retired employee of Formal Plastics with 33 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Jack and Pearl Hodge; half-sister, Lou Emma Dukes; half-brothers, Gene Brooks and Snowball Brooks.

Jason DeWayne Butcher-age 44 of Maynardville passed away suddenly Thursday morning, October 3, 2019 at North Knoxville Medical Center. He was a loving Dad, Grandfather and a friend to many. Preceded in death by parents, Sammy and Lisa Butcher; sister, Linda Russell.

Survivors: daughter, Jaden Butcher; grandson, Sage Bragg; daughter, Kimberly Adams; former wife, Susan Adams; girlfriend, Beth Pugh; nephew, Damion Russell; niece, Samantha Russel along with a host of cousins and other family members.

Jacob F. Haynes went home to be with the Lord and his beloved Mim, on Sunday, September 22, 2019. He was an U.S Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred and his parents, Ed and Aggie Haynes.

John Larry Teffeteller, age 72 of Maynardville, Tn went to Heaven to be with his savior on Friday, September 27, 2019 surrounded by his loving family, and was called to preach at the age of 19. John was the pastor of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. John was a member of the J.C. Baker Lodge #720. John also served as an officer for the Blount County Sheriff’s Office. John was a well-known hair Stylist/Barber in Blount County.

Terry D. Keller age 50, of Knoxville, went home to be the Lord peacefully in his sleep on Sunday September 22, 2019. Terry is preceded in death sister Sherry Holt.
Survived by son Jesse D. Keller, parents Jerry Keller and Mary Ruth Hobbs, siblings Sam and Jeannie Hobbs and Kris Keller, several nieces and nephews and special friend, Alesha Perkey.

Linda (Hundley) Branum Age 64 of Maynardville passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, September 25, 2019 surrounded by her family. Linda was a member of Alder Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Linda will always be remembered for her energetic personality, giving and supportive nature and her love for her family and friends.

Charlotte Ann (Walker) Corum, 59 of Maynardville, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 9:23pm. Preceded in death by father Robert E. Walker Sr. and father-in-law Melvin Corum. Survived by husband Greg; daughter and husband Tiffany and Jason Thompson; sons Robbie and wife Gail and Billy Corum; step-son Nathan Corum; grandson, the light of her eye, Adam; mother Ruth P.

William Reece Free (Reece Edward Long)-age 29 of Knoxville passed away Friday, September 27, 2019. He was preceded in death by grandfather, Richard Cole; grandmother, Nellie (Reece) Free; uncles, Ronald Cole, Ricky Cole and William David Rush, III.

Glenn Richard Beeler, age 83 of Halls Crossroads, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 27, 2019. He was retired from AT&T after 39 years of service. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Troy and Opal Irick Beeler.

Gladys Russell Lambdin-age 87 of Knoxville passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at West Hills Healthcare. Preceded in death by husband, Troy Lambdin. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and taught Sunday School. Retired employee of Marlock. She struggled many years with Alzheimers. She was a housewife and made many beautiful outfits that were her daughters favorite to wear to school. She was also a member of the Ex-Prisoners of War. The family would like to express special thanks to the nurses of Atria and West Hills Rehabilitation.

Lucy Claudine Abbott (Deanie), age 74 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on September 22, 2019. She will always be remembered for the love and dedication to her children.
She is preceded in death by parents Thomas & Josie Walker; husband Art Abbott; daughter Pamela; son Tony; siblings Earl, Jerry, Anna, Betty, Mabel, and Gene.

Raymond Fred Spires, Sr of Knoxville born on May 11, 1943, went to be with his heavenly father on Saturday, September 21, 2019. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a beloved member of the Moose Lodge #1560 where he enjoyed spending time with his many friends and serving as a trustee. He was preceded in death by his children’s mother, Margaret Spires; grandson, Brian Easterday; parents, Robert & Biddie Spires; brother, Lon (Ruth) Spires; sisters, Helen (Fred) Atkins; Jessie Mae (Hal) Huffaker; Gertrude (Jessie) Perkey; Gladys (Berlin) Garrett.

James Denver Partin, 80, has been set free from the cruelty of dementia, and he is now home with his Savior, Jesus Christ. He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Doris Helen Roberts Partin, of Knoxville, TN; parents, Smith & Nannie Partin; brother, Rev. Horace Partin; sisters, Helen Partin & Faye Lindsay, all of Williamsburg, KY.

June Nicley-age 80 of Washburn went home to be with her Lord Sunday, September 22, 2019 peacefully at her home. She was a longtime member of Pennington Chapel Baptist Church. June was a loving wife to her husband, mother to her daughter and friend to all who knew her. Preceded in death by husband, Curtis L. Nicley; parents, Willie and Nellie Nicely along with several brothers and sisters.

Carolyn Marcum, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. Preceded in death by Daddy Rev. Leon Dawson, Momma Mabel Dawson, brother Doyle, and husband Dalvis Marcum. Survived by sons Tony (Brenda), Robbie (Christy), daughter Tammy, 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sister Loretta Foster. Hampton McMahan, age 94 of Maynardville, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. He was a WWII Army Veteran and received a Purple Heart for his outstanding service to his country. Preceded in death by wife Laura McMahan; parents Reverend Harvey and Easter McMahan; brothers Pete Hayes and Hubert McMahan; sister Meryl Ward.

John Franklin Chesher, age 77, passed away September 16, 2019. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the US Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. John enjoyed fishing, always had a good humor about him, was tough as nails and had a huge heart. He loved his “Pete” with all his heart.

John is preceded in death by his mother Mattie Ethel Chesher; three brothers; and mother-in-law Iona Webb.

Rev. Ruben Wilson-age 76 and Belinda Wilson-age 58 of Blaine passed away suddenly Tuesday morning, September 10, 2019 as the result of an automobile accident.

The families would like to express their love and gratitude for the outpouring of love and support shown to our families.

Sara Elizabeth Dixon Kitts – 37 of Maynardville, born April 28, 1982 passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019. She was a member of Alder Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by sister, Nancy Lynne Dixon; grandparents, William “Bud” Jones and Charles and Opal Dixon. Sara is survived by son, Carson Kitts; parents, James “Len” and Ann Dixon; sister, Jamie Dixon Delph; brothers, Andy (Sherri) Dixon and Scott Dixon; grandmother, Georgia Jones; special niece and nephews, Abygale Dixon, Hunter and Eli Delph; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
