James "Bo" Jones

James Edward “Bo” Jones – age 67 of Andersonville, passed peacefully and gracefully into the arms of the Lord after battling a year of cancer. Bo was born on May 20, 1951 in Knoxville and was a 1970 graduate of Fulton High School. He loved working with the custodial staff at Central High School and retired from Knox County Schools in 2016. His hobbies were fishing, gardening with his sister and collecting wind chimes. He was the kindest person you could ever meet. The most important thing you should know about Bo is that he was saved around the age of 20 at Ailordale Baptist Church.

John "Moon" Hubbs

John LaFate “Moon” Hubbs – age 60 of Maynardville, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 1:29 a.m. in North Knoxville Medical Center. He professed faith in Jesus Christ at an early age.

He is preceded in death by parents, Harold Glynn and Dorothy June Hubbs; grandmother, Sue Copeland; brothers, Harold Gene Hubbs, Jerry Lynn Hubbs and James Pheo “Jim” Hubbs; and girlfriend, Lisa Campbell. He is survived by daughter, Jonna Sue Hubbs; brother, Larry Glynn Hubbs; and a host of family and friends.

Randolph H. Pittman

Randolph H. Pittman-age 57 of Knoxville, born April 17, 1961 in Hastings, Michigan passed away peacefully Sunday morning, March 3, 2019 at Willow Ridge Center where he had resided for several years. He was a honorably discharged United States Navy Veteran. He is survived by a sister, Angela Marie Wise of Battle Creek, Michigan. He will be cremated and the cremains returned to Michigan for interment in the Veterans National Cemetery. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.

John E. "J Bird" Smith

John E. (J Bird) Smith-age 67 of Luttrell passed away Saturday morning, March 2, 2019 at his home. He was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, J. P. and Dorothy (Tharp) Smith; brother, Don Smith; grandparents, Ernest and Pearl Tharp, Charlie and Ella Smith.

Shirley Smith Savage

Shirley Smith Savage-age 66 of Rutledge, formerly of Maynardville went home to be with the Lord Thursday afternoon, February 28, 2019 at U. T. Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith and an employee of Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home, Housekeeping Department, Rutledge. Shirley was preceded in death by husband, Hall Smith; parents, Edgar and Hettie Lynch; brother, Claude Lynch; sisters, Jan Wollard and Judy Lynch.

Claudia E. Huskey

Claudia E. Huskey, born January 16, 1939, went to be with the Lord February 28, 2019. She is survived by son Danny Huskey and wife Dianna; daughters Pat Cox and Brenda Baker; grandchildren Scott Huskey, Carl Clark and wife Christie, Rebecca Rabatin and husband Ryan, Annie Cox, Tyler Cox; great-grandchildren Kairi Cox and Garrus Cox; siblings Ruth Toole, Edith Ford, Tim Ford, Sheila Humphrey, Nina Sawyer, and Mike Ford. Family and friends will meet at 10:45am Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Greenwood Cemetery for an 11:00am graveside service.

Glennis E. Harris

Glennis E. Harris, age 87 of Knoxville, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at his home. He was a member of House Mountain Church of Christ and retired from Martin-Marietta. Survived by wife of 65 years Alice Harris, sons Phillip Harris (Kathy) and Bryan Harris, daughter Donna Harbin (Greg), grandchildren Brandy, Chris, Ashley, Jordan, Alex, Lauren, Ethan, and Joey, great-grandchildren Peyton, Christian, Makayla, Haley, Harper, Jake, Luke, Levi, Caison, Colton, and Remi, great-great-grandchild Caroline, brother Jack Harris (Linda), and several nieces and nephews.

Michael Raymond Grahl

Michael Raymond Grahl, born July 26, 1954, passed away on February 27, 2019. He was a Mason and former mechanic. Thomas Keaton

Thomas Lee Keaton – 80 of Corryton, took his heavenly flight, Tuesday, February 26, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of Cedar Ford Baptist Church, Luttrell where he was an active member of the Ready Sunday School Class. He retired a Sgt. From the Tennessee Highway Patrol in 1990 after 30 yers of service. He served as Sheriff of Union County from 1990 to 1994. He loved his family as well as his church family. He spent many good times with family and friends at church, Norris Lake, and the family farm.

Betty Oxendine Hayes

Betty Lou Oxendine Hayes-age 73 of Morristown passed away Wednesday morning, February 27, 2019 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Byrams Fork Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, Eddie Plumer and Ruby Oxendine; brother, Rev. Walter Oxendine; sisters, Infant Betty Ruth Oxendine and Francis Inklebarger.

Survivors: husband, Wayne Hayes of Morristown; sister, Alice Nicely of Maynardville; brothers, Jimmy Oxendine and wife, Mary of Blaine; R. G. Oxendine and wife, Josephine of Mascot; Jesse Oxendine of Maynardville. Several nieces and nephews.

Charles "Rob" Robinson Freeman Jr.

Charles “Rob” Robinson Freeman Jr., age 72, passed away February 6th, 2019. He was a Korean War Veteran who taught scuba diving through PADI for over 35 years while continuing to serve in the auxiliary coast guard. He also attended Cumberland College & UT. He took over all of his father’s business after his premature death. He and his long-time love Sidney travelled all over the world together with friends and students. Preceded in death by parents Charles & Alene Freeman Sr. Survived by the love of his life Sidney Gail Hutchens and daughter by choice Kim (Hal) King.

Terry Lee Liford

Terry Lee Liford, age 52, passed away February 22, 2019. He was an avid fisherman and a member of Douglas Anglers Bass Club. Preceded in death by mother Mary Liford and brother James A. Liford.
Survived by daughters Amanda Jones, Stephanie Delaney and Alyssa Braden; son Cody Seals; several grandchildren and special granddaughter Hailey Ingram; father Jim O. Liford; sister Angela Liford and brother Darrell Liford. In lieu of flowers, the family asks those attending to bring a fishing lure for Terry.

Jewell Faye Rand

Jewell Faye Rand age 81 of Powell went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 23, 2019. She was a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church and taught pre-school in the Powell community for over 30 years. She was an avid Tennessee Vol fan and a longtime member of the Volunteer Street Rod Association. She passed with her beloved pet and companion Sky by her side.
