Angela (Jeannie) Cox, age 55 of Maynardville, went home to be with Lord on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. Jeannie was a small business owner in Maynardville for several years before retiring. Rustic-re-Do was a business she started from her garage and grew into its very own store front in Maynardville. Jeannie would transform old worn-out furniture into beautiful household show pieces. Her gift of working with furniture and ability to make relations with so many people allowed her to be an extremely successful business owner and staple in our community.

Larry Allen Sheckles

Larry Allen Sheckles-age 70 of Harrogate passed away suddenly Monday evening, May 8, 2023, at Claiborne Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a former employee of Morgan’s Furniture Store, Middlesboro.
Preceded in death by wife, Rosemary Sheckles; parents, William and Beulah (Partin) Sheckles; three brothers; one sister.

Karin M. Wilburn

Karin M. Wilburn-age 63 of Maynardville, Tennessee passed away Monday, May 5, 2023, after a long battle with cancer at her home. She was born in Salzburg, Austria and resided in the United States for the past 24 years. She was an avid follower and participant in Tai Chi. Preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Josefine Hinteregger.

Reaford Mills

Reaford Henry Mills – age 79 of Knoxville formerly of Maynardville, passed away going to his eternal home. He was a Deacon for 48 years at Community Baptist Church in Maynardville.

He is preceded in death by mother and father, Thomas and Etha Mills; sisters, Margaret Boles, Carolyn Jones and Alma Hutchison; brothers, Alvin and Benny Mills. Reaford leaves behind his wife, Eula Mills; sons, Marty Mills and Kevin (Jennifer) Mills; and grandchildren, Jay, Jeffrey, Gabriel, River and Zoey.

Charles "Chuck" Seymour

Charles “Chuck” Joseph Seymour-age 49 of Maynardville, Tn. passed away suddenly Friday, May 5, 2023 at Claiborne Medical Center. It sounds cliche but Chuck really never, ever met a stranger. He was warm and funny and he loved everyone in his life with his whole heart. He was a cherished and beloved son, a loving brother, a doting uncle and a generous friend. He will be deeply missed by all who love him. Chuck was a graduate of Horace Maynard High School, Class of 1991.

Mable Hayes Flatford

Mable Irene Flatford-age 85 of Maynardville went to be with the Lord Friday morning, May 5, 2023 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was a member of Ailordale Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Elsie Hayes; son, Donald Norton; brothers, Jackie Hayes, Franklin Hayes; sister, Wilma Beason.

Donnie Wayne Bailey

Donnie W. Bailey-age 73 of Washburn passed away Monday, May 1, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. Donnie was a Navy Veteran. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Preceded in death by parents, J.C. and Judy Bailey; brother, Danny Bailey; granddaughter, Tiema Nicole Nicley; uncles, Sam and Bobby; aunts, Sue, Juanita, Gaynell and Mary Lou.

Joni Hall

Joni Sue Conner Hall- age 57 of Maynardville went to be with the Lord Friday, April 28, 2023. Joni was a wonderful wife and mother. She worked hard in everything she did. Her family was always first and foremost. She raised many animals, including miniature horses and dogs, which she included in her family. Along with her husband they started Union County Youth Football League, and she served as co-founder and secretary.

Preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Ronda (Rodgers) Conner; mother-in-law, Laura Hall; father-in-law, Joe Hall.

Cris Raymond Woods

Cris Woods-age 64 of Maynardville went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 27, 2023, after a battle with cancer.

Preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Helen Woods; brothers, Curtis Woods, Chester Woods, Carl Woods; sister, Christine Hutchinson.

Survivors: daughters, Crystal Woods, Charlotte (Parker) Woods, Terri (Larry) Smith; son, Patrick Collins; long time companion, Joyce Stevens; brother, Chuck Woods; grandchildren, Tala and Kendra Thomas, Katlin, Gable, Abigail along with several nieces and nephews.

Marvin Dean Atkins

Marvin Dean Atkins-age 60 of Luttrell passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He professed faith in Christ at an early age and was of the Baptist Faith. Graduate of Horace Maynard High School, Class of 1981.

Preceded in death by wife, Deborah Kay (Wilkerson) Atkins; parents, Gerald and Nola Elizabeth (Bucker) Atkins; brother, Ralph Douglas Atkins.

Ronald Hubert Wolfenbarger, Sr.

Ronald Hubert Wolfenbarger, Sr.-age 69 of Washburn passed away Tuesday, April 25,2023, at his home.

Preceded in death by parents, Hubert and Mary Wolfenbarger; brothers, David, Buck and Donnie Wolfenbarger; sisters, Mary (Ruth) Nipper, Nelda (Jean) Collins.

Survivors: wife of 51 years Brenda Gail Wolfenbarger; daughter, Tywania (Brett) Hedie; sons, Ronnie (Misty) Wolfenbarger, Jr., Donnie (Amber) Wolfenbarger, Billy (Michelle) Wolfenbarger. His pride and joy were his 16 grandkids and 5 great grandkids.

Michael John Arneberg

Michael John Arneberg-age 67 of Luttrell passed away suddenly Saturday evening, April 22, 2023 at his home. He was of the Catholic faith and a retired over the road truck driver. He was also a Veteran of the U. S. Army with three years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Olaf and Edna Arneberg; wife, Mary Arneberg; daughter, McKena Morse.

Billy Wayne "Bill" Nicley

Billy Wayne (Bill) Nicley-age 70 of Washburn passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was born December 8, 1952 and was the son of Robert Lee and Helen Mae (Kitts) Nicley. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by brothers, Clifford Nicley, Hubert Nicley; sisters, Betty Lou Nicley, Rose Onalee Nicley, Irene “Callie” Nicley Dalton, Gracie Nicley Bailey.

John Huston Bunch

John Huston Bunch-age 85 of Washburn passed away Sunday, April 16,2023 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Dutch Valley Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Carmeuse Mining, Luttrell, with 20 years of service.

Gary Wayne Worley-age 73 of Maynardville passed away Sunday, April 16,2023 at Willow Ridge Center. He was of the Baptist faith.

Preceded in death by mother who raised him, Bobbie Worley; sister, Jenny Worley; brother, Buddy Worley.

William Poore, Sr.

William Ray Poore, Sr. – age 79 of Sharps Chapel, born October 17, 1943 passed away April 14, 2023 at UT Hospital. Saved at a young age, William became an entrepreneur with many business adventures throughout his life including helicopter and fixed wing pilot, scuba diver, realtor and owner of successful businesses.

Beulah Elizabeth Wolfenbarger

Beulah Elizabeth Wolfenbarger-age 99 of Luttrell went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Fairpark Healthcare Center in Maryville. She was a faithful member of Warwick’s Chapel Baptist Church in Luttrell. She was a seamstress and was a retired employee of American Clothing and Volunteer Apparel. Preceded in death by husband, Everett Wolfenbarger, Sr., two granddaughters, four brothers and three sisters.

Penny R. Wilson

Penny Renee Wilson-age 59 of Maynardville, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023 at North Knoxville Medical Center. She was saved at an early age and was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. She was a talented musician and loved playing keyboard, piano and guitar. She was a very loving mother and grandmother who was loved by all who knew her. Preceded in death by parents, Wayne and Betty Houser.
