John Huston Bunch-age 85 of Washburn passed away Sunday, April 16,2023 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Dutch Valley Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Carmeuse Mining, Luttrell, with 20 years of service.

Preceded in death by parents, John and Edith (Hurst) Bunch; brother, William Bunch, Josh Bunch; sisters, Lidy Mae Bunch, Ellen Spears, Ileen Lakins, Mary Miracle; son-in-law, Glen Nicely, Jr.

Survivors: wife of 52 years, Ella Joe (Sands) Bunch; son, Larry Bunch and wife, Debbie; daughter, Ann Nicely and fiancé, Tony Coffey all of Washburn; three grandchildren, Mitchell, Daniel and Grace Nicely; brother, Eddie Bunch and wife, Geneva, Morristown. Several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.

The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Tuesday, April 18, 2023, and 5-7 PM Wednesday, April 19, 2023, with the funeral service to follow 7 PM Wednesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Jimmy Frye officiating. Interment 2 PM Thursday, April 20,2023 Seymour Cemetery, Washburn. Pallbearers: Leroy Nicley, Eddie Nicley, Gordon Beeler, Andy Bunch, Stan Bunch, Phil Bunch; Honorary Pallbearers: John Beeler, Tony Coffey. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
