Daryl Wayne Valentine-age 75 of Knoxville (Halls Community) went to be with his Lord Wednesday morning, August 31, 2022 at the Ben Atchley Tennessee State Veterans Home. Daryl was a minister of the Christian faith. He loved to play his guitar and sing with his wife, Linda. Daryl was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired employee of Y12 at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Kathleen (Howard) Valentine.

He is preceded in death by parents, Gerald and Ruth Wallace; sister, Teresa Elaine; and brother, Gerald Lynn. He leaves behind his wife, Cynthia; children, Adam Noland, Eric Wallace and Ann and Katrina Wallace; sisters, Judy Overholt, Katrina Wallace Sharp, Linda Runyon; and brothers, Olen and Roy Wallace.

Margie Francis Vineyard-age 90 of Maynardville passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, August 26, 2022 at her home. She was a former employee of the cafeteria staff at Gibbs High School. She loved crocheting and also fishing at Norris Lake near her home. She was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Debbie Jones; Sister, Betty Hamm; brothers, Frank Hunt and Ernie Hunt.
Clifford E. Wyrick-age 84 of Luttrell passed away suddenly Friday, August 26, 2022 at his home. He was saved at Luttrell Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Hutting Door and Sash Company with 46 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Holbert and Annie Wyrick; step-daughter, Kristi Hunley Chandler; granddaughter, Meisha Young; special cousin, O. G. Wyrick; brothers, J. B., Frank, Calday and H.C. Wyrick; sisters, Edith Turner and Artie Lawson.
Jerry Lee Gunnels-age 70 of Maryville passed away Friday morning, August 26, 2022 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a retired employee of Vulcan Materials in Maryville. He enjoyed riding his golf cart around the subdivision with his dogs, Pennee and Nickee. Preceded in death by parents, Bill and Ethel Gunnels.
Thomas Spencer Gillespie, age 69, passed away on August 13, 2022. Born in Maynardville, TN and graduated from Horace Maynard High School. He moved to Detroit, MI at age 18 and worked at Ford Motor Co., where he retired after 20 years of service. He then moved to Knoxville, TN and worked as a manager at Central Parking for several years. Preceded in death by parents, Spencer and Jana V. Gillespie; sister, Evelyn Sue Woods Roe; and niece, Sheri Faye Sexton.
Michael Allen Williams-age 65 of Maynardville passed away Saturday morning, August 20, 2022 at Willow Ridge Center. He was a member of Indian Bluff Baptist Church in Briceville, Tennessee. He loved old cars and was a good artist. Michael was also a great dad.
Preceded in death by parents, William and Norma (Sanders) Williams; brother, William (Slim) Williams.
Paislee Alayna Harrington – age 9 of Maynardville, passed away on August 17, 2022 at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. She was born to parents, Stephen Harrington and Shyla Helms on March 18, 2013. Paislee was known for her kind heart and bubbly personality. She had a creative mind and loved to draw and craft. Paislee enjoyed playing outside on the farm and spending time with her horse Gypsy and the cow she raised Moomee. She was funny, smart, generous and could go from Cowgirl to Diva in 2.5 seconds. Paislee was so excited to start fourth grade at MES as she loved school.
Trinity William Bailey-age 40 of Washburn, born on January 24th, 1982, went to be with our Lord and savior on August 17th, 2022. He grew up with a love for hunting, fishing, and enjoyed the outdoors. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bailey and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Scearce, along with his brother, Nathaniel Cody Wolfenbarger, infant step son, Daniel Ray, father in law, Bobby Hayes and a special uncle, Herbert Bailey.
Kidwell, Sherman Henry age 80 of Luttrell passed away Wednesday morning, August 17,2022 at his home, surrounded by his family and loved ones after a long battle of Dementia.
He worked at Dempster Brothers of Knoxville for over 30 yrs., And also worked alongside of his wife and best friend Melba Kidwell at Little Darlings Video.
His greatest joy was his family and his 2 yorkies Precious and Harley and listening to Music.

Goldie Mae Starnes-age 92 of Washburn passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Diversicare of Claiborne after a progressive disease of dementia. She was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Emerson Starnes; daughter, Martha Jo Hill; parents, Clayton and Rosie Bailey.
Ann Elizabeth Poston “Mimi” – age 79 of Knoxville, shed her earthly body and awoke with the Heavenly Father with her body restored on August 12, 2022. Her family will miss her sweet disposition, kind spirit and endearing love each and every day.
She is preceded in death by parents, William and Helen Tharp. Left to cherish sweet Ann is her beloved husband, David J. Poston, Jr.; children, Lyda (Karl) Bell and Brian (Sarah) Poston; grandchildren, Mason Bell, Morgan, Reagan and Hunter Poston; special sister-in-law, Diane Harvey; and friend, Jennifer Hickson.
Pauline Jewell Tate-age 65 of New Tazewell passed away Saturday morning, August 13, 2022 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Little Creek Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, James Cecil and Dewie (Smallwood) Mustard; sister, Flora Elizabeth Mustard; brother, Johnny Ray Mustard.
Survivors: sons, Darrell Tate and Jason Tate; three grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia McIntosh of Harrogate; Della Shoffner of Sharps Chapel; brother, Terry Glenn Mustard of Harrogate. Several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
Jeana Faye Johnson-age 50 of Corryton went with our Lord Friday, August 12, 2022 at her home. Preceded in death by father, Kenneth E. Hankins; grandparents, Claude and Velma Hankins; Bill and Nellie Williams.
Survivors: husband, Douglas Johnson, III; daughter and son-in-law, Chelsea and Josh Clevenger; mother, Janice Hankins; sister, Sonya Blair; niece, Miranda Allen; nephew, Tyler Blair along with several aunts and uncles.
Robert “Bob” Lee Lawson, age 72 of Maiden passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory.
Born July 26, 1950 in Union County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Clyde Vernon Lawson and Charlotte Parker Lawson. Bob retired from Fed-Ex after 21 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a volunteer at Carolina Caring for many years. In addition to his parents, a brother, Bill Lawson and 2 sisters, Boots Hayes and Mick Damewood preceded him in death.
