Bill Greene – age 91 of Corryton, Tennessee went Home to his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 5, 2022, passing peacefully at his home. We struggle to capture in a few words the echo of such a life. Bill was born October 24, 1930 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the son of Samuel Greene and Dora Strevel Greene. Raised by his maternal aunt, Myrtle Strevel and grandfather Pete Strevel, in Luttrell, Tennessee, Bill overcame tremendous adversity in his life.
Carolyn “Susie” Shoffner Wright-age 59 of Sharps Chapel passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at home while surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of Carrs Branch Baptist Church. She was a beloved mother and grandmother who never met a stranger. Preceded in death by parents, Luke and Imogene Shoffner; sister, Debbie Edmondson.
Melissa Faye (Beeler) Keith – Age 52 of Corryton, born July 8, 1970 passed away suddenly September 6, 2022. She was a caring mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was born to Doyle and Mildred Beeler and was happiest while maintaining her flowers and garden and watching her efforts grow.
J. B. (Jake) Stooksbury-age 90 of Sharps Chapel passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022 at The Waters of Clinton. He was a retired employee of the TVA Bull Run Steam Plant and was a U. S. Navy Veteran with four years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Platt and Willie Stooksbury; two brothers, Loren and Cuble Stooksbury; four sisters, Dorothy Stooksbury; Joann Rouse; Emma Jean Stooksbury, Corrine George.
Kenneth Allen Hickle-age 83 of Luttrell, born July 24, 2939 passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022 at North Knoxville Medical Center. He was a member of New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and a retired employee of Plasti-Line in Powell. Preceded in death by parents, Luia and Ilah (Booker) Hickle.
Survivors: loving wife of 35 years, Betty; son, Timothy Allen Hickle; step-children, Eddie Harvey, Shelia Carter, Jeri Bouchard, Cindy Camper; sister, Ruth Stiner; brother, Joe (Sue) Hickle. Several nieces and nephews.
Steven David Johnson-age 75 of Maynardville went to be with the Lord Friday, September 2, 2022 at his home. He was a member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church. He served as a deacon for several years. He was a retired employee of CSX Transportation. He was preceded in death by parents, Rev. Clarence and Jean Johnson; son, Wayne Johnson; daughter, Sharon Washam; grandson, B. T. Johnson; sister, Betty Carmon; brother, Stanley Johnson.
Derick Steven Davis-age 40 0f Maynardville went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 30, 2022 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by mother, Rebecca Pratt Davis.
Daryl Wayne Valentine-age 75 of Knoxville (Halls Community) went to be with his Lord Wednesday morning, August 31, 2022 at the Ben Atchley Tennessee State Veterans Home. Daryl was a minister of the Christian faith. He loved to play his guitar and sing with his wife, Linda. Daryl was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired employee of Y12 at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Kathleen (Howard) Valentine.

Margie Francis Vineyard-age 90 of Maynardville passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, August 26, 2022 at her home. She was a former employee of the cafeteria staff at Gibbs High School. She loved crocheting and also fishing at Norris Lake near her home. She was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Debbie Jones; Sister, Betty Hamm; brothers, Frank Hunt and Ernie Hunt.
Clifford E. Wyrick-age 84 of Luttrell passed away suddenly Friday, August 26, 2022 at his home. He was saved at Luttrell Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Hutting Door and Sash Company with 46 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Holbert and Annie Wyrick; step-daughter, Kristi Hunley Chandler; granddaughter, Meisha Young; special cousin, O. G. Wyrick; brothers, J. B., Frank, Calday and H.C. Wyrick; sisters, Edith Turner and Artie Lawson.
Jerry Lee Gunnels-age 70 of Maryville passed away Friday morning, August 26, 2022 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a retired employee of Vulcan Materials in Maryville. He enjoyed riding his golf cart around the subdivision with his dogs, Pennee and Nickee. Preceded in death by parents, Bill and Ethel Gunnels.
Thomas Spencer Gillespie, age 69, passed away on August 13, 2022. Born in Maynardville, TN and graduated from Horace Maynard High School. He moved to Detroit, MI at age 18 and worked at Ford Motor Co., where he retired after 20 years of service. He then moved to Knoxville, TN and worked as a manager at Central Parking for several years. Preceded in death by parents, Spencer and Jana V. Gillespie; sister, Evelyn Sue Woods Roe; and niece, Sheri Faye Sexton.
Michael Allen Williams-age 65 of Maynardville passed away Saturday morning, August 20, 2022 at Willow Ridge Center. He was a member of Indian Bluff Baptist Church in Briceville, Tennessee. He loved old cars and was a good artist. Michael was also a great dad.

Paislee Alayna Harrington – age 9 of Maynardville, passed away on August 17, 2022 at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. She was born to parents, Stephen Harrington and Shyla Helms on March 18, 2013. Paislee was known for her kind heart and bubbly personality. She had a creative mind and loved to draw and craft. Paislee enjoyed playing outside on the farm and spending time with her horse Gypsy and the cow she raised Moomee. She was funny, smart, generous and could go from Cowgirl to Diva in 2.5 seconds. Paislee was so excited to start fourth grade at MES as she loved school.
Trinity William Bailey-age 40 of Washburn, born on January 24th, 1982, went to be with our Lord and savior on August 17th, 2022. He grew up with a love for hunting, fishing, and enjoyed the outdoors. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bailey and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Scearce, along with his brother, Nathaniel Cody Wolfenbarger, infant step son, Daniel Ray, father in law, Bobby Hayes and a special uncle, Herbert Bailey.
Kidwell, Sherman Henry age 80 of Luttrell passed away Wednesday morning, August 17,2022 at his home, surrounded by his family and loved ones after a long battle of Dementia.
He worked at Dempster Brothers of Knoxville for over 30 yrs., And also worked alongside of his wife and best friend Melba Kidwell at Little Darlings Video.
His greatest joy was his family and his 2 yorkies Precious and Harley and listening to Music.
