Earl Ray Muncey-age 72 of Maynardville passed away Tuesday morning, March 29, 2022 at Willow Ridge Center. He was a member of Maynardville Church of God. Preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Allie (Tharp) Muncey; brothers, William (Bill) Muncey, Jack Muncey; sisters, Anna Lou McCoy, Rowena Cabbage.
Jack W. Myers – age 95 of Maynardville, passed away on March 28, 2022 at home after a brief illness. He was a member of Community Baptist Church, a member of American Legion Post 212, VFW Post 8682 of Union County, and a World War II Veteran. Jack was a retiree of Painters and Allied Trades, being a white waller for over 35 years. He was an avid lover of the outdoors, spending much of his life fishing and hunting with his son and grandson in Oregon.
Stephanie Koehler Kiser-age 92 of Maynardville passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Monday, March 28, 2022. She was born in Lukau, Czech and was exiled to Germany in 1946. She moved to Maynardville November 13, 1965. She was a faithful member of Alder Springs Baptist Church for 37 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Kiser; parents, Franz and Stefanie Koehler.
Jack Edward Sexton-age 82 of Maynardville passed away peacefully Thursday March 24, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was a member of Hubbs Grove Baptist Church and a member of J.C. Baker Lodge 720 F. & A.M. He was a retired employee of Dempster and self-employed by Sexton Used Cars. Preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Sexton; father, Claude Sexton; Mother, Lucille Sexton; sister, Marie Mynatt.

Franklin Albert Faulkner-age 70 of Luttrell passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at North Knoxville Medical Center. Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Onie Faulkner; sisters, Betty Faulkner and Mary.
Vern Wallace Lowry – age 93 of Maynardville, passed away peacefully March 22, 2022. Vern grew up in Loyall, Kentucky where he loved his family, fishing and baseball. He served as a teletype operator during the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska, then worked for Commercial Credit for over 30 years, retiring in 1988. Vern was a longtime member of the American Legion and the Masons. He was a dedicated Christian and servant to his church at First Baptist Church in Loyall and then Crossroads Presbyterian Church.
Mary Katherine (Rosenbalm) Cox passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the age of 84. She was born and was a lifetime resident of Maynardville and was a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

I was born into this world January 2, 1990 to my loving parents, Katina Muncey, Teddy Nicley.
I’ve been blessed with 7 children, Kendryx, Kaydon, Kayne, Ty, Skylar, Lavada and Caden. An Amazing Love, Amy Moore, my Fiancée. My Amazing Sistger, Tiffany Nicley; brother-in-law, J.J.; a special nephew, Jonathan and Little Brother, Jaxson.
I’m loved by many and many I love. Fishing with the kids was one of my favorite pass times.
I went home to be with my Lord and Savior Friday, March 18, 2022. Please remember me with love, smiles and laughter.
Charles W. Thomley, Jr.-age 76 of Mobile, Alabama, currently of Heiskell, Tennessee passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022 at his home. Charles was born October 12, 1945 in Mobile, Alabama. He worked with Ernest Construction with his father for many years. Later he opened a business on the beach in Perdido Key, known as The Tropical Cantina. He then later traveled for Proctor and Gamble as Mr. Clean. He did multiple promotions with them over the years across the states and Calgary, Canada. He loved his animals and buying and driving old cars. He loved old time Rock and Roll.
Eric Scott Keaton-age 41 of Powell passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at his home. Preceded in death by father, Russell Keaton; grandparents, William and Lela (McBee) King; Ed and Dorothy Buck.
Survivors: mother, Donna King Keaton (Greg Rudd); daughter, Khloe Keaton and her mother, Kristin Gray; sisters, Jamie (Eliceo) Justino, Kelly Evans and Alexis Rudd. Several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.

Sisters; Eula Franklin and Imajean Franklin, and sister-in-law; Wanda Keller.

Alma Jean Johnson Kivett-age 93 of Sharps Chapel passed away Friday, March 11, 2022 at her home. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Sharps Chapel Christian Church. Preceded in death by husband, Richard Kivett; parents, Henry and Mayme Peters Johnson; brother, Clint (Bessie) Johnson; son-in-law, Jack Scott, II.
Issac Robert Hamilton-age 82 of Maynardville was born October 5, 1939 passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022 at North Knoxville Medical Center. He was a graduate of Horace Maynard High School, Class of 1957 and then attended Lincoln Memorial University. He was a retired employee of the Knoxville News-Sentinel with 38 years of service. Robert loved to his community and was an active member of the Union County Rescue Squad for over 40 years where he received training as a First Responder.
Wayne Edward Mize – age 80, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Beverly Park Place. Born April 26, 1941 to Minnis Clay and Dolphia (Edmondson) Mize. He graduated from Horace Maynard High School, serving as class president each year. After graduation he worked for Tennessee Department of Employment Security for several years. Then was self-employed, owning Wayne’s Old Fashion Dairy Bar and other businesses. He loved drag racing, competing at national and local events and in his later years could be seen riding his motorcycle or ATV.
Judy Lynn Smith – age 64 of Maynardville, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2022 surrounded by family. She was a loving sister, wonderful aunt and a great friend. Judy was a former employee for many years of Booker’s One Stop Market and Jaxx Discount Tobacco Store.
She is preceded in death by father and mother, Charlie “Hobert” Smith and Elizabeth Smith; sisters, Connie Smith and Linda Smith Chesher. Judy is survived by sister, Shirley Munsey; brothers, Paul (Juanita) Smith and Charles (Beth) Smith; and special nieces, nephews and cousins.
Randall Eugene Jones – age 64 of Maynardville, passed away surrounded by his family Wednesday, March 2, 2022. He was an expert in archery and loved hunting. Randy went to work at Y-12 when he was 19 and retired from there in 2011 after 34 years. He also loved the Vols and his Diet Coke.
Harold Ailor - 85 of Corryton, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2022. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and dedicated his life to creating a nature sanctuary with the preservation of wildlife as his focus. Harold is preceded in death by his lovely wife of 58 years, Patricia. He is survived by his children, Rob Ailor and Carmen Kartiganer; his granddaughters, Rachel and Emily Kartiganer; and his best friend and loyal dog, Bubba. No services are planned at this time.
