Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Lynn Calfee, CCEMT-P, age 65, of Corryton went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 4, 2019, surrounded by her family and friends. She is a member of Clapps Chapel United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Sherman Turner, and sister, Mary Hoke, and mother and father-in-law, Helen and Edward Calfee.

Margie Nicley

Margie Marie Nicley-age 94 of Luttrell went home to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, April 3, 2019 at Willow Ridge. She was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her son, James Mitchell “Pete” Nicley; daughter-in-law, Bernice Nicley.

Survivors: grandsons, Dennis Nicley and wife, Bailey; Kenny Nicley and wife, Cindy; granddaughter, Christy Nicley; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Lorena Nicley Housewright, Patsy Bowman and husband, John; two brothers, Anderson Nicley, Darrell Nicley and wife, Janice.

Louise Brown

Mildred Louise Brown-age 82 of Maynardville went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, April 2, 2019 peacefully at her home. She was a member of Pennington Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Flora Munsey; brothers, Willis, Austin “Dock”, Herbert “Bill” and Larry Munsey; sisters, Fostine Munsey, Juanita Cooper, Elsie Hobock, Mary Blackburn and Irene Sweet.

Katherine Keck

Katherine Keck, age 87, passed away on April 2, 2019 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living. She is preceded in death by parents Sam and Eva Chandler; siblings Sam Chandler, Jennie Bryan, Sue Spotts, and Ann Oaks. She is survived by loving husband of 67 years Bobby Keck, son Daryle Keck, daughter Becky Reed, grandchildren Laura, Kevin, Abby, Annie, and Jeremy, 12 great-grandchildren, sister Betty (Donald) Riccard, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Betty (Arthur) McKenzie and Bill (Virginia) Keck, many nieces and nephews.

Jesse T. Kirby, age 86, passed away April 3, 2019. He was of the Baptist faith. Jesse proudly served in the U.S. Army for eight years. Preceded in death by wife Helen and son, Larry Wayne. Kristan Marie (Kris) Howerton, age 38 of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019. She was a loving & caring mother and her children were the center of her universe. Kristan was a very artistic person with the soul of a free-spirited unicorn. She worked as a LPN, tattoo apprentice, and volunteered at the RAM clinic.

Herbert Leon Brantley

Herbert Leon Brantley – born May 16, 1929, passed away after a battle with cancer on April 1, 2019. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Edith (Jones) Brantley; sons, Steve (Mary Ann) Brantley, Keith (Libby) Brantley, Wade (Kim) Brantley and Dwight (Debbie) Brantley; nine grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.

Robert Edward Bump

Robert Edward Bump – age 55 of New Tazewell, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 31, 2019. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and enjoyed his job working for County Bail Bonding Company.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn Patricia VanDusen and James Bump; grandparents, Alford and Cecil Watson and Grandpa and Grandma Bump. Robert is survived by his wife, Ruth Bump; sisters, Sharon (Gary) Wells and Bobby (James) Myers; brother, Fred Bump; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members.

Grace Webb Cagley

Grace Webb Cagley, age 91 of Halls Crossroads, went home to be with the Lord the morning of March 31st, 2019 with family at bedside. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and “Mamaw Grape.” She greatly enjoyed sharing her love through cooking from her home and her time at Norris Freeway Market. She was a long-term member of Grace Baptist Church of Halls. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by parents Noah and Lorinda Webb, husband of 60 years Robert Cagley, grandson Marty Jones, and several brothers and sisters.

Dakota Micheal Smith

Dakota Micheal Smith, age 17 of Halls, passed away on March 29, 2019. He was a senior at Halls High School. He loved the outdoors, fishing, cars and off-roading. He cherished his girlfriend Ashlyn Waldo. He was a kindhearted boy and many will miss him.

Dennis Keith Parsons Obituary

Dennis Keith Parsons, age 67 of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Parkwest Medical Center after a brief illness. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and served as a Jr. deacon as a young man. He later attended Reunion Baptist Church. He was always interested in technology and design. He was the youngest Hamm radio operator in Knoxville starting at age 11. He enjoyed the Tennessee lakes and loved skiing, boating and the outdoors. He graduated from Fulton High School in the late sixties. He retired from Petsafe Technology in West Knoxville.

Herbert Eugene "Smiley" Richardson

Herbert Eugene “Smiley” Richardson – age 78 of Maynardville, passed away Wednesday March 27, 2019. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Maynardville. Smiley was retired from the United States Postal Service. He served the City of Maynardville for 24 years as Mayor and City Council Member. He also served as a Union County Commissioner. Smiley was quick to express his love of God, family and country.
