Kathleen Louise Sharp Mink

Kathleen Mildred Louise Mink, age 71 of Monroe, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at home.

Born on September 2, 1948, from the union of Harm (Lum) and Noma (Ruby) Sharp in Middlesboro, Kentucky. She was one of nine children in her family. Later on, she met the love of her life; John Mink. They were married on October 24, 1972 in Monroe, MI. They raised their family of four children and spent over 48 wonderful years together.

Evelyn Luvan “Bankie” Sands-age 81 of Luttrell passed away Monday, March 2, 2020 at Beverly Park Place, Knoxville. She was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, James A. Sands.

Survivors: daughter, Sandy Satterfield and fiancé, Lynn Kitts; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Pam Sands, Perry and Jean Sands, Mike and Lisa Sands; special grandson, Tyler Satterfield and wife, Brittany. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters.

Carolyn J. Bradshaw

Carolyn J. Bradshaw-age 88 of Maryville, formerly of Maynardville passed away Monday, March 2, 2020 at Shannondale Health Care Center where she had been in declining health the past two years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Alcoa. She and her husband were the former owner/operators of Hickory Star Resort and Marina in Union County. Preceded in death by husband, Bill Bradshaw; daughter, Billi Bradshaw.

Charles Andrew (Chuck) May, age 58

Chuck passed away suddenly, but peacefully at home on 2/23/2020. He was a 1979 Graduate of Central High School. Chuck grew up playing baseball at Ftn. City Ballpark and went on to play on the baseball team at Central High School. Chuck loved Tennessee football and baseball and could answer any Trivia question presented to him. Chuck previously worked at Reeder Chevrolet as a Service Consultant for many years. Chuck was a life long member of St. Paul United Methodist Church of Ftn. City. Chuck could always be seen smiling.

Norma Jewell Cooper Faust

Norma Jewell Cooper Faust, age 80 of Knoxville went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Jewell lived a full and joyful life filled with many wonderful friends. She always had a way of making anyone she was with feel special and loved. Jewell enjoyed spending time with family, especially watching her grandsons play sports. Jewell is preceded in death by her mother and father, Paris and Ruby Cooper and sister, June Alexander.

Betty Jo Owens Fields age 84 formally of Rutledge, passed away Monday, February 24, 2020. Preceded in death by parents Millard and Georgie Owens; siblings Ruth, Helen, Harold, Barbara Kay, and Don. Ruby D. Miller – age 94 of Maynardville, passed away February 21, 2020. She was the only surviving charter member of Union Chapel Baptist Church. Ruby retired from Standard Knitting Mills after 44 year of service.

She is preceded in death by husband, J. L. Miller; and son-in-law, Carl Clapp. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Kay Lynn Clapp of Maynardville; grandchildren, Heather (Jon) Turner and Ethan Clapp; and many nieces and nephews.

Dean Palmer Stiner

Dean Palmer “Moe” Stiner-age 87 of Sharps Chapel, born May 28, 1932 passed away Saturday morning, February 15, 2020 at his Knoxville home. Dean was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War and served August, 1953 through May, 1956. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion. He was also a member of the Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard and served during many military graveside services. Preceded in death by wife, Shirley Sexton Stiner; parents, Carly Frank and Lelia Charlotte Beeler Stiner and an infant brother; brother-in-law, Steven Sexton.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Aaron “Pete” and Jewel Beason and Elmer and Betty Rouse; and special aunt, Peggy Rouse. Darrell is survived by parents, Wayne and Mary Evelyn (Rouse) Beason.

Joe Mcelroy Raby

Joe M. Raby-age 80 of Sharps Chapel passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 at his home. Joe retired after 32 years of service with Local 50 in Oak Ridge. Preceded in death by parents, Tillmon Franklin and Lola Edith Raby along with nine siblings.

Survivors: wife, Tonya Raby; daughters, Kim (Tommy) Rhea, Kandy Hensley, Lori (Bruce) Williams and Olivia (Josh) Williams. Brother, James Raby; sister, Nettie Betsill. Grandchildren, Chloe, Adelyn, Westlee, Sylas and Easton. Several nieces and nephews.
