LINDA MAYES REYNOLDS – age 65, of Knoxville, passed away on August 29, 2018.
She was the most loving and devoted Christian woman, and a member of Dutch Valley Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Betty and Wade Reynolds; daughter, Tina Hinshaw.
Tim Mark Canupp, age 57, of Knoxville, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was the Chef and Kitchen Manager at Shoney’s on Broadway for many years. He was a graduate of Fulton High School class of 1981. Tim was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Roger Dale Munsey, Jr.-age 46 of Washburn passed away suddenly Monday morning, August 27, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident. Preceded in death by father, Roger Dale Munsey.

Mary Elizabeth Tucker - age 57 of Maynardville, passed away August 25, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Mary is survived by husband, David Tucker; children, Amy Bozonellos, Tammy, John Curtis Boren and Josh Boren; grandchilden, Nicholas and Abagail Bozonelos, Dylan Lerma, John Ray,Riley and Andrew Boren, Aleigha Salazar and Wyatt Boren; mother, Pat Andrews; siblings, Dan Hendrickson, Bill Allen, Bobby Allen, Penny Patton and Tonya Simco. A memorial service will be on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.
Donna Darlene Pursiful - age 63 of Knoxville, passed on to meet her Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 23, 2018. Donna enjoyed life and her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Hines Creek Baptist Church.
Ervin “Leno” Schoolfield, age 41, passed away August 26, 2018. He was an Airforce veteran and an instructor for the UAV. Ervin mentored the Halls High School Robotics Team. He was a loving husband and father, with a great sense of humor and an energetic personality. He is preceded in death by mother, Delane Trunk; grandmother, Thelma Schoolfield. Survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Monica Schoolfield; son, Adam Schoolfield; daughter, Sydney Schoolfield; father, Randy Trunk; many friends, too numerous to count, who loved him.
Karen F. Blair-age 62 of Maynardville passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at her home after a long battle with cancer. She leaves behind her husband of 27 years, Rickie Blair of Maynardville; two sons, Karl Stokes of Knoxville; Freddie Stokes of Kodak; sisters, Gail, Brenda, Jennie and Connie along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Donald Ray Jackson, age 60, passed away on August 22, 2018. He was of Baptist faith. Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a hard worker. He made friends wherever he went and never knew a stranger. He is preceded in death by his wife Cindy Jackson and son Bryan Jackson. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his daughter, April Rose and husband Shawn; son, Jacob Jackson; grandson, Shane Oglesby; siblings, Wanda, Renee, Roy and Ronald; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews; all of his friends at Higginbotham Heating and Air.
Lois “Faye” Williams Martin, age 62, went to join her lord and savior on August 23, 2018. Lois left behind her beloved husband of 45 years Cecil “Cheta” Martin; son Tim Martin and his wife Marquette “Cricket” Martin; many loved grandchildren; brothers, Bob and Jerry Williams of Knoxville and John Williams of Friendsville; sisters, Jean Watson, Sue Williams, Shirley Carter all of Knoxville, and Betty Williams of Greenville, South Carolina; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Memorials in her memory may be given to the Cancer Society of Knoxville.
Hazel Lee “NaNa” McPhetridge, age 95, of Knoxville passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Fort Sanders Medical Center. She was a member of Arlington Baptist Church. Former member of Sharon Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Powell High School, and then went on to obtain a degree from Knoxville Business College. She worked for Knox County Property Assessor office for 56 years.
Henry P. McGinnis-age 81 of Washburn passed away Tuesday morning, August 21, 2018 at his home following a long illness. Survived by his wife, Ida Brock McGinnis. Ava Kathryn Easterday, age 8, passed away August 18, 2018. She was a dancer at Prima Dance Studio. Ava attended after school care and summer care at Wallace Memorial and was a student at Powell Elementary School. Ava’s passion in life was to dance. She loved being at the studio and she loved competing. She loved anything pink, teal, sparkly, shiny and glittery. She was a true girly girl and full of sass. She loved to make people laugh and could light up an entire room with her beautiful smile. She was a free spirit and full of adventure.

Phyllis Keny, 90, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018. Born in Aberdeen, S.D. to Mae and Alphonse Zemlicka, she was very bright and talented in art and music, singing in the choir at Sacred Heart Church where her mother was the choir director/organist for many years. She attended Mt. Marty Catholic High School graduating in 3 years, then Northern State U. with a major in art. During that time, she performed as a singer at various campus venues. She tried out for a spot on the Laurence Welk traveling show in the Dakotas, before the age of TV.
Clay Edward Smith, age 57, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. He is preceded in death by father, William Smith; mother, Thelma Smith; and brother, Billy Joe Smith. Clay is survived by sisters brothers, Helen Williams, Linda Collins, Joyce Sheffield, David Smith, William Smith, Fred Smith and Michael Smith as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel on Sunday, August 19th from 5-7pm. Family and friends will gather at Water Cemetery on Monday, August 20th at 10:45am for an 11am graveside service.
Frances Kilgore Norman, age 83, of Lakeland Florida, formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on August 12, 2018 at her home in Lakeland Florida. She was of Methodist faith. She was a member of Eastern Star, Mascot Tennessee Order. Frances was a certified nursing assistant. She worked at Lakeland Regional Medical Center and in Home Health Care. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
Dorothy Dean Hatmaker Weaver, 83, is now with her creator and keeper, Jesus Christ. She died August 13, 2018.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Weaver; sister, Aileen Hatmaker Ruland; nieces, Kim, Tracy, and Renee; a great-nephew and a great-niece.
She is preceded in death by daughter, Candace Weaver Ayers; sister, Barbara Hatmaker Sizemore, and parents.
Thomas Edward Lawless, July 27,1940-August 11, 2018, Thomas (Tommy) Edward Lawless of Maynardville, Tennessee passed away peacefully, Saturday afternoon, surrounded by his loving family at his home on August 11, 2018. Tommy was a graduate of Clinton High School class of 1958. He continued his education at East Tennessee State College and then served in the United States Navy (Vietnam) on a Mine Sweeper as Second Lieutenant for four years. He taught high school math and retired from Frontier High school in Ohio.
Joseph Andrew Weaver, 62, departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior August 11, 2018. He attended Gospel Light Church of God in Norris, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by father, Charles Weaver; step-father, George Duncan; grandparents, Dora and Jahue Brantley and Pearl Weaver.
Bessie Mae Delozier-age 87 of Luttrell passed away Wednesday morning, August 8, 2018 at North Knoxville Medical Center. The Lord has called. I must go home. I take this time to say goodbye to my family and friends. I was born May 10, 1931 to a pretty little part Indian girl, age 16, Grace Dotson, who married Bill Line. I married at age 16. God gave me 5 wonderful children, 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. I am so blessed with two wonderful step-daughters, three step-grandsons and one step-granddaughter. I leave lots of good friends.
