The 2022 Luttrell Music Festival was all about legacies.  An eager, supportive crowd witnessed the legacy of Luttrell native Chet Atkins as his family members took the stage in the final act of the day. It was also the establishment of a legacy for Mayme Taylor, who birthed the LMF some eleven years ago. Ms. Taylor in her last year as the festival coordinator ceremoniously passed the mic to David Johnson from Plainview who opened the Luttrell Music Festival with prayer and will be in charge of planning the 2023 festival.

The Luttrell Music Festival—formerly referred to as the Luttrell Bluegrass Festival—is a city-sponsored annual event that also receives grants from the Tennessee Arts Commission that showcases local musicians in a fun-filled, festive family atmosphere.
Although the festival name has changed, there is still plenty of down-home bluegrass music to enjoy, plus this year there are country and gospel bands as well.
There will also be a variety of craft booths and food vendors. It is sure to be a great time for all, and admission is free.

After a one-year hiatus, the Luttrell Music Festival is back, set for 4-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Luttrell City Park. Chairing the event once again is Mayme Taylor, Luttrell resident and festival founder.
