The German Beer Stein

I have had a beautiful beer stein since World War II. My brother, Rodney, sent it back from Germany. He was part of a Navy goodwill tour that started at England then went on to Germany. He sent back two beer steins and a Black Forest coo coo clock from there.

When he returned home, Rod took back the coo coo clock and one beer stein. That left me with one beer stein. I have placed that beautiful beer stein in a prominent place in my home as I moved around the country. It is time to give it a permanent home while I am still here to do so.

Remembering Cpt Rosemary Mariner

This monumental event was the first all-female piloted fly-over in honor of the first female naval pilot to fly a combat mission, Captain Rosemary Bryant Mariner. Little did many of us know, we had been living with a legend in our midst.

Valentines Day

Twas the night before V. Day,
When all through the kitchen,
Daddy Mouse smelled odors of my candy fixin'.

He saw in the paper
The next day was V. Day
Mama Mouse's expecting again, he did say.

Temple Worship Conclusion

Last time, we concluded by pointing out that there was no temple during King David's reign over Israel and that God would not allow David to build God a house or temple to dwell in. God would not allow David to build a house because God knew men would worship a temple built by human hands and not worship God Himself.

Spider in a Blue House

Through the years, my spider encounters have given me a few adventures. In case you don't know, I don’t want to see one or be anywhere close to one of those icky things. In fact, when I get to Heaven, I plan on asking Jesus if there was nothing else He could have created that would have eaten mosquitos and other bugs.

But there was one spider that amazed me so much that I had to watch it instead of screaming and running away.
