Jean Elizabeth Miller, 95, of LaFollette, TN, passed away October 1, 2020, at LaFollette Medical Center. She was born September 27, 1925, in Knoxville, TN, the daughter of the late Willie Geneva Childers. She graduated from Central High School in 1944 and Knoxville Business College. Jean loved her dogs and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, attending church and entertaining friends and family. Jean is proceeded in death by Rev. John T. Miller, husband of 47 years and Paris Fleming, husband of 12 years; brother Richard W. Nichols and wife Ruby Nichols. She is survived by her nephew Dr.

Johnny Oscar Baker (Poppy)-age 83 of Maynardville was born January 20, 1937 passed away peacefully Friday, October 2, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family following a brief battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia Baker; father, Wilfred Baker; mother, Eva Strader Baker; brothers, Wayne Lee and Howard (Wimpy) Baker; sister, Betty Jean Williams; daughter, Sandy Morris; grandson, Bradley Wheat and son Charles Rutherford.

Johnnie L. O’Mary – age 88 of Maynardville passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at his home. He was a US Army veteran and attended Nave Hill Baptist Church.

Danny Edward Davis-age 62 of Corryton passed away Saturday evening, September 26, 2020 at U. T. Medical Center. He was a member of Victory Church, New Tazewell and the Team Up Ministries. Danny was a retired employee of Merita Bread Bakery. He was a loving father and grandfather. Preceded in death by parents, Garland and Margaret Davis; brother, Larry Davis.

Ophelia Graves Washam Williams-age 85 of Luttrell gained her angel wings Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at her home. She was a lifetime member of Mountain View Church of God, Luttrell. She loved her Jesus, her family and to know her was to love her. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Bobby Washam and Doffise Williams, her parents, Theodore and Bonnie “Rouse” Graves along with four brothers.

Michael Hayden Shope –of Maynardville, was called home to join the Angels on September 19, 2020. He will forever be loved and remembered by his family, especially his mommy and daddy.

William “Mitchell” Weaver – Age 77 of Luttrell, TN made heaven his home September 9, 2020. He was a huge fan of both Nascar and the Atlanta Braves. He began his career in outdoor advertising and continued in the sign business until retirement.

Mildred Monroe – age 90 of Maynardville, passed away September 14, 2020 peacefully in her sleep. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Maynardville.

Hazel Louellen Morris, 72, of Maynardville, Tennessee went to be with her Lord and Savior on (Tuesday), 15 September 2020. She passed from this mortal coil at her family home in Maynardville, Tennessee.

Shelma Jean Dunn, age 83 of Knoxville, passed away at her home on September 15, 2020. She was a member of Clapps Chapel United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by parents, Clayton and Nellie Loope; sister, Mary Ruth Loope; brothers, Junior, Earl, Winfred, and Don Loope.

Debbie Wolfenbarger, age 62 of Powell, passed away September 16, 2020. Preceded in death by parents Nellie Rose and Willie Clark Arnold, sister Judith Johnson, brother Gary Arnold. Survived by husband Kenneth Lloyd Wolfenbarger Jr., brothers Greg (Joann) Arnold and Spencer Arnold, brother-in-law David Johnson, sister-in-law Kathy (Kirt) Senft; nephews Tyler Arnold, Brandon Seeber, Tim Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Robby Arnold, Scott Arnold, nieces Brittany Arnold Lett, Lexie Arnold, Ceati Seeber, and several great-nephews and nieces and other family members and acquaintances.

Edward Clayton Shipley “Ed” age 78 of Mascot passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020. Ed was a prominent business man and friend to many. He operated Ed Shipley Guttering for over 40 years. A member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Preceded in death by his parents Eston and Mildred Shipley; siblings Myra Ann Shipley, Jackie Ray Shipley, Barbara Ruth Cartwright, Melba Jean Ferguson.

Rodney Lynn (Rod) Collins-age 46 of Washburn passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, September 17, 2020 at his home. He was preceded in death by mother, Kathy Bell; father, Earl Collins; sister, Laura Wilkerson; brother, Christopher “Outlaw” Dyer.

Ola Mae Wilkerson, age 88 of Halls Crossroads, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Tennova North Medical Center. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents Oliff and Maggie Wilkerson, siblings Elizabeth, Sophie, Mildred, Teresa, Cecil, Holbert, Carl, and Bob Wilkerson, Geraldine Hansard, and Annabelle Lyons. Survived by son Terry (Angie) Wilkerson, siblings Helen Monroe, Ruth Martin, Pearl Wilkerson, Clifford (Charlotte) Wilkerson, and several nieces and nephews.

Charles Edward (Buster) Nicley-age 68 of Washburn was born May 14, 1952 passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at U. T. Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Hazel Nicley; brother, Jim Nicley and an Infant brother and sister.

John E. Fagg-age 54 of Washburn passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, September 13, 2020 at U. T. Medical Center. John was saved at an early age. He was an employee of MasTec, Inc., Knoxville. He was preceded in death by parents, John E. Fagg, Sr. and Martha Thomerson Bennett.

Trilla Fern Lewis Smith Walker-age 82 of Maynardville went to be with the Lord Friday, September 11, 2020 following her battle with dementia. She professed her faith in Christ at a young age. She was proceeded in death by parents, Jesse and Anna Lewis, brother, Harrell Lewis.

Leon Anthony Maldonado-age 36 of Maynardville passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 10, 2020 in Inglewood, Tennessee. He worked in construction and especially enjoyed electrical work. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Johnson.

Calday A. Wyrick, Sr.-age 94 of Corryton passed away peacefully Friday morning, September 11, 2020 at U. T. Medical Center. The family would like to thank the hospital’s E. R. and 7th floor cardiovascular unit for the loving care of our daddy. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Corryton and was an Army Veteran of World War II. Preceded in death by wife, Mildred Turner Wyrick and son, Paul Wyrick; parents, Hobert and Annie Wyrick and several siblings.

Doris Annette Hickle Lindsey, age 78, of Strawberry Plains, TN fell asleep in death September 8, 2020 at home in Florida. She was an avid worshiper of Jehovah and lover of the written word. She fancied all things butterflies and felt the best color for the world was purple. She loved her family fiercely and lived life vivaciously. She is preceded in death by husband Paul Lindsey, daughter, Deborah Lindsey, father, Reverend James V. Hickle, mothers’ Anna McDaniel and Betha Goin.
