White Bean Spread
Here is an easy dip or spread. You should have everything on hand to make this. Cannellini beans take other flavors very well. If you have any doubts, try this one on your family.
White Bean Spread
Two 15 ounce cans Great Northern or cannellini beans, (same thing)
drained and rinsed
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon snipped fresh rosemary
1 teaspoon season salt
Multigrain chips or corn chips
In 1 12 quart slow cooker, combine beans, broth, oil, minced garlic, rosemary and season salt. Cover and cook on low heat for 3 to 4 hours. Slightly mash beans with potato masher or hand mixer on low speed. Transfer bean mixture to serving bowl. Serve warm or at room temperature. Makes 20 two tablespoon servings.
Note: You can cook Great Northern beans until tender but still intact. Measure out 4 cups and continue with recipe.
