Tammy Lynn (Roark) Carter

Tammy Lynn (Roark) Carter-age 59 of Sharps Chapel passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 at Claiborne Medical Center. Tammy was saved at Leatherwood Baptist Church and attended Capps Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sewell and Bernice (Bowman) Roark; father-in-law, Charles Carter; mother-in-law, Ann Lindsey and husband, Paul; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Bickford, Debbie Bolden, Faye (Thee) Widner; brothers, Russell (Deloris) Roark, Carson Roark; brother-in-law, Rudy Love.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Greg Carter; brothers-in-law, Rick Carter and wife, Lisa; John Bickford; sister, Sue Cheek and husband, Jimmy, Kathy Love. A host of special nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank special friends, Pat Surber, Wendy Doodle, Shirley Barnard and Misty Cupp. Tammy loved the staff of Claiborne Medical Center. The family is especially grateful to CCH for their kindness and seemingly endless support and attention as they cared for her during her illness.

The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2021 with funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. Sunday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Rick Carter officiating. Rev. Danny Goodman will read the obituary. Music by Lisa Carter. Family and friends will meet by 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home to proceed to Taylors Grove Cemetery, Sharps Chapel for a 11 a.m. graveside service. Pallbearers: Cody Carter, Jake Carter, Casey Sollars, Paul Clonce, Rick Berry and Arlin Webb. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
