Steven D. Johnson
Steven David Johnson-age 75 of Maynardville went to be with the Lord Friday, September 2, 2022 at his home. He was a member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church. He served as a deacon for several years. He was a retired employee of CSX Transportation. He was preceded in death by parents, Rev. Clarence and Jean Johnson; son, Wayne Johnson; daughter, Sharon Washam; grandson, B. T. Johnson; sister, Betty Carmon; brother, Stanley Johnson.
Survivors: wife of 58 years, Marie Johnson; sons, Glen (Kelsey) Johnson; Scott Johnson; Kenny (Jami) Johnson; daughter, Karen (Virgil) Anderson. Several grandchildren, Five great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Cindy Johnson; son-in-law, Richie Washam. Sisters, Brenda (Dale) Haynes; Carol (Ray) Bull; Kay (Randy) Buchanan. Several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice nurses and doctors for taking such great care of him.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2022 with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Sunday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Paul Carter officiating with music by David and Jessica Johnson; Justin Johnson. Interment 11 a.m. Monday, Big Barren Cemetery, Maynardville. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday to go with the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Justin Johnson, Andrew Anderson, Hunter Johnson, Luke Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Thomas Johnson. Honorary Pallbearer: Stanley Campbell.
