Ruby Jean Luttrell Pointer – age 75 of Knoxville, born January 18, 1949, left this world peacefully at her home surrounded by family on February 12, 2024. She was a Cosmetologist and loved styling hair for her customers from her home beauty shop for many years. Ruby was passionate about gardening and was a wonderful cook. She was a loving mom, nana, sister and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Elsie Luttrell; and nephew, Finn “Lash” LaRue. Ruby is survived by son, Rob (Jennifer) Pointer; bonus daughter, Christy Davenport; grandchildren, Hadlie DeFoe, Sydney DeFoe and Teagan Davenport; sister, Joi Luttrell (Ron) Melton; and special family friend and caregiver, Savanah Carr.

The family will receive friends 4:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Grace Baptist Church, 7171 Oak Ridge Hwy. #2730, Knoxville, TN 37931. A Celebration of Life will follow with Dr. Tony Pointer officiating.
