Dyer, Ruby Delores – age 84 of Maynardville, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 27, 2025, at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Luttrell. She is retired from Levi Strauss (Powell). Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dyer; daughter, Sherry Norton; granddaughter, Kristen Norton; son-in-law, Bobby Norton; mother, Ruby (Roby) Lawson Brown; father, J. Will Watson; brother, James Watson.

Survived by daughter, Terry (Jerry) Shumate; very special grandson, Logan Norton, all of Maynardville; special bonus granddaughters, Katrina (Tommy) French, Natalie (Andy) Earl; four great-grandchildren; sister, Mae Emert; brother, Ron Brown; nieces, Lisa Bean, Rhonda Miller; nephew, James Watson, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Pat Watson, Virgie Hickle; brother-in-law, Dennis (Pat) Dyer; special friend, Barbara Nease. Special thank you to Dr. Chinta and staff, her caregiver Carolyn Criswell and Suncrest Hospice especially Whitley.

Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 7 PM, officiated by Rev. Gary Beeler, music by Sarah Goad and Gary Criswell. Interment service will be held at 11 AM on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Haun Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Keith Nease, Kelvin Nease, Kendall Nease, Tommy French, Chris Dyer, Doug Shumate. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rylan Earl, Bryson French, Taegan Wolfenbarger. Family and friends will meet at 10 AM at the funeral home on Sunday to go with the funeral procession. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville.
