Roger Lee Sheets, age 83 of Westland, Michigan passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024. He had been in declining health for several months. Born July 16, 1940 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Roger was the son of True and Genevieve (Mathias) Sheets.

He married Jo Ellen (Hunter) on February 14, 1965 and they had three children together. They divorced in June of 1983.

Roger married Louise C. (Chapman) in January of 1984. Through this marriage, he gained three stepsons.

Roger is survived by his two children: Kim (Raymond) Fracalossi of Monroe, Michigan and Lee (Erika) Sheets of Niles, Ohio. He is also survived by his brother, Carlton Sheets of Savannah, Georgia, stepson, Les Chapman, four grandchildren, one niece, one nephew, and loving companion for many years, Carol Yates.

In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his second wife, Louise Sheets, son, Christopher Sheets, and stepsons, Robert and James.

A military graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville, Tennessee conducted by the Tri-county Veterans Honor Guard. Burial will follow. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
