Robert W. Martin

On Dec 21st 2023, Jesus called Robert Weldon (Rob, Robby) Martin home, at the age of 50.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Martin, his parents Danny Ray and Patricia Ann Martin, as well as his grandparents and many friends and relatives who surely rejoiced at his arrival and met him at the pearly gates.

To know Robby was to love him, and the hearts of those he left behind are shattered. Among them, his beloved and only son, Adam of Albuquerque, NM. Adam was the light of his life. He enjoyed every opportunity he was able to spend with him. He also leaves behind a beloved sister, Shellie (Gresh Tuggle), brother Joshua, niece and nephews Jazmen, Dru, Jacob, and Alex, as well as stepchildren Lauren and Tyler.

Robby was born in Arizona on June 28th, 1973 but spent most of his young life in Grants, New Mexico. In Robby's early years he excelled in football and baseball and proudly represented Grant's High School as a Pirate! Robby's father worked as a miner which often required the family to move. After high school, he moved to Las Vegas where he worked in telecommunications. From there, he ventured to Yuma and Kingman Arizona while continuing the proud family tradition of mining. In 1997 he became a proud parent with Audrey Martinez with the arrival of their beloved son, Adam. Shortly thereafter Robby settled in Nashville where he found success as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

Robby lived life like a true cowboy from the day he was born. Cowboy boots, cowboy hats, horses, and country music were always part of his life. Robby had the biggest heart and was always there for anyone in need, whether they were stranded on the side of the road or simply needed a helping hand.

He possessed an unmatched storytelling ability and could keep a room in stitches for hours with his jokes, never repeating the same one twice. If you had the privilege of knowing Robby, there is no doubt that he brought joy and blessing into your life in some way. His devotion to God was unwavering, followed closely by his love for his family, fishing, and George Strait's music. Life on earth will never be the same without him, and our hearts will forever carry a void. We find solace knowing that we will reunite with Robby one day.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 2PM at the Hickory Star Resort and Marina, 1360 Hickory Star Rd, Maynardville, TN 37807. A reception following the service will be done "Robby style."
