Rita Mae Middleton-age 70 of Maynardville went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 10, 2024. She was of the Baptist faith. Rita loved to sit outside and enjoy nature and her humming birds and also sit on the porch and talk to her dog, Harry. Preceded in death by parents, Aulden and Willa Mae Middleton; sisters, Brenda, Linda, Glenna McCrary and husband James, Althea Middleton; brothers, Teddy, Burl and Terry Middleton.
Survivors: sisters and brother: Janice Bailey and husband, Red; Jean McCarter and husband, Greg; Wayne Middleton and wife, Penny; Lottie Patterson and husband, Wayne; Darla Thompson and husband, Ed; sisters-in-law, Angela Middleton, Deborah Middleton. Several nieces, nephews, cousins along with a host of friends.
The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2024 with the funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. Friday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Greg Sharp officiating. Graveside service 12 Noon Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Butcher Cemetery, Maynardville. Please meet at the cemetery at 11:45 a.m. Saturday. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
