Richard Steven “Steve” Geames, age 63, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Thursday, December 28th, 2017, after putting up a hard fight against cancer. He was born November, 24th 1954 in Knoxville, TN and graduated from Gibbs High School in 1972. Steve was a beloved father, an Army Veteran, and most importantly a follower of our Lord and Savior. Steve was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN. He was preceded in death by father C.W. Geames. He is survived by mother, Carrie Geames. Children: Amanda, Michael and his wife Tara, Ashley, and Cody. Grandchildren: Kendra, Matthew, Mariah, Makayla, and Gavin. Sister: Bonnie Atkins. Siblings: Randy, Joey, Tracey, and Brittany. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, with funeral service to follow. Pastor Tony Hayes will be officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:45 p.m. for a 3:00 p.m. committal service on Thursday, January 4th, 2018 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Gov.
