Richard Scott Lucas-age 59 of Maynardville passed away suddenly Saturday evening, July 1, 2023 at his home. He was a member of Maynardville Church of Christ. Preceded in death by father, Herman Lucas; uncle, Lynn Sexton; grandmother, Lucille Sexton; grandfather, Troy Sexton.

Survivors: wife of 39 years, Lora Lucas, Maynardville; daughter, Ashleigh Lucas, Tazewell; son, Scott Lucas and wife Rhonda, Covington, Georgia; mother, Norma Sexton Sharp; grandchildren, Johnathon Christian, Corbin Sharp, Trayce Sharp; sister, Rebecca Heathcock, Maynardville; brothers, Daryl Lucas, Maynardville, Billy Lucas several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Maynardville Church of Christ, 103 Malone Gap Road at Hickory Valley Road with David Stansberry officiating. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
