Rhonda Lynn Cox-age 63 of Sharps Chapel entered her heavenly home peacefully 12:05 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2024 with her family by her side. Rhonda accepted Jesus as a young girl at Blue Springs Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed being an active member of Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church for more than 15 years. She loved her church family and Rhonda’s greatest joy was her family. She also loved farming and the outdoors. She especially loved their farming days and she had special memories from working their dairy cattle, showing and riding her horses and traveling to her favorite place in Townsend to be near the river. She is preceded in death by her mother, Bernice L. Williams; brother, Michael A. Williams; grandchildren, Lindsey, Madeline, Layne and Cambreigh.

Rhonda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Steven “Pete” Cox; son, Rev. Allen (Crystal) Rutherford; daughters, Allison (Scott) Dixon; Alicia (Justin) Hart. Adored grandchildren, Colton (Savannah), Carolyne (Alex) Brystol, Jaxson, Abby, Aubrey, Aden, Kaesyn and Thomas; great-grandchildren, Sutton, Keaton, Dayven and Callen. Father, G. P. Williams; sisters, Renee (Jason) Seal, Karrie (Ashley) Moore. Many other special nieces and nephews and extended family and a host of friends. Special thank you to her pulmonary rehabilitation team at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.

Graveside service 2 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, Sharp-Rogers Cemetery, Sharps Chapel, Rev. Allen Rutherford, Rev. Jason Walker officiating with music by Scott and Ashley Queener. Friends will meet at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m. Friday. Pallbearers: Scott Dixon, Justin Hart, Colton Rutherford, Alex Lester, Justin Cox, Lance Cox. Honorary Pallbearers: Jaxson Bailey, Aaron Sharp, Ashley Moore.
