Rev. Paris E. Woods-age 76 of Maynardville passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at his home. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and had served as pastor of Raccoon Valley Baptist Church and New Start Baptist Church. Paris was a carpenter, gardener and was owner/operator of his carpet installation business. Preceded in death by mother, Lucy Woods; brothers, Ed, Ondus and Glen Woods; sisters, Ina Sweet, Trula McCoy and Myrtle Sweet.

Survivors: wife of 53 years, Juanita Brewer Woods; sons, Darrell woods and wife, Naomi; Randal Woods and wife, Amber; daughter, Amanda Hurst and husband, Dan. Five grandchildren, Haley, Dillon, Rylee, Ayden and Rylan; four great-grandchildren, Annajean, Lynnsi, Jade and Grayson; step-grandchildren, Kristina and Daniel. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 with funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Saturday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Tyler Warwick, Rev. James Dyer, Rev. Wade Brantley officiating with music by The Valley Boys, Ruby McElhaney and Teresa Bays. Interment 2 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Hines Creek Cemetery, Maynardville. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 1 p.m. Sunday to go with the procession.
