Rev. Charles Edward "Chip" Warwick

Rev. Charles Edward “Chip” Warwick-age 72 of the New Loyston Community, Maynardville went home to be with his Saviour Monday, September 25, 2017 at Physicians Regional Medical Center. He leaves behind a wonderful testimony of salvation in which he received when he was 21 years old. He later announced his calling to preach at the age of 40. He stood steadfast, unmovable upon his faith in his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He pastored churches in Union and Knox County and was blessed to see countless souls saved. He was the current pastor and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Hinds Creek Road in Union County and was loved by so many for always having a smile on his face. Chip is preceded in death by mother, Juanita Weaver Warwick; brother, Jerry Warwick, grandfather, Otis Weaver; grandmother, Nora Weaver.

He leaves behind a loving wife of 53 years, Joyce (Flatford) Warwick; Chip also leaves behind a son, Charles Trever Warwick and wife, Robin; grandson, Rev. Charles Tyler Warwick and wife, Jessica; great-grandson, Charles Conner Warwick along with a host of cousins and many dear friends.

The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 with funeral services to follow at 8 P.M. Wednesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Tyler Warwick officiating with music by The Warwick Family. Interment 11 A.M. Thursday, September 28, 2017, New Loyston Cemetery, Andersonville. Family and friends will meet at 10 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home to go in the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Rev. Paris Woods, Rev. Ray Bell, Brother Billy Bailey, Brother Richie Ryan, Rev. Bill Claiborne, Rev. Earl Mayes.
