Rebecca Jean Edwards, born December 1, 1954, passed away October 3, 2017. Preceded in death by parents Retha Faye Hatley and William Riley Coffey; daughter Michelle Edwards; brothers James and William Coffey; granddaughter Whitney Godfrey. Survived by husband Gary Edwards; daughters Brenda and Tim Smith and Sarah and Charles Jenkins; son Johnny Godfrey; father of her children Clarence Godfrey; grandchildren Katelyn, Keegan, Zoey, Issiah, Mackinsley, Charles, Christopher, Nick, Timothy, Jacob, Bradley, and Kevin; great-grandchild Bre’ona; sisters Katherine Hutchison and Ruthie Paul; brother Charles Coffey; special niece Lisa Norman; sisters-in-law Sharon Jewell and Rhonda Wright; brother-in-law Alva Edwards. Family will receive friends 5:00p.m.-700p.m. Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with service to follow, Rev. James Duncan officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:45p.m. Sunday at Walker Cemetery in Sharps Chapel for 2:00p.m.. interment.
