Phillip David Oehlberg

Phillip David Oehlberg Sr., the proud father of 4 children, age 55, of Maynardville Tennessee, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 30th, 2024.

He was born in Chicago in 1969 to Peter John Oehlberg Sr. and Norinne Alyce Oehlberg. He loved spending time with his brothers. He always valued the people in his life, going to work at Trulite Aluminum and Glass for over 20 years, making many friends, and supporting his family. He was a well-known and respected figure in the community, loved by everyone he interacted with.

Phillip was preceded in death by his father Peter John Oehlberg Sr and brothers Perry Todd Oehlberg and Patrick Brian Oehlberg. He is survived by his mother Norrine Oehlberg and Brothers Peter John Oehlberg Jr., Paul Daniel Oehlberg, and Scott Adam Oehlberg.

Phillip was a devoted and loving father to Phillip David Oehlberg Jr., Kevin Alexander Oehlberg, Krystle Veronica Oehlberg, Christopher Alexander Oehlberg, and grandfather to Hailey Rosalie Alday-Oehlberg who dearly miss him and the life lessons he imparted to them. Among them was being respectful, honest and truthful, and always caring and loving one another.

He took great pride in being a parent, especially spending time with his kids. He always made them feel loved and supported. He was happy to see his children together spending Thanksgiving, bowling, going on road trips, hiking, and exploring new places.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 P.M., officiated by Rev. Greg Sharp. Interment will immediately follow funeral service at Fort Sumter Community Cemetery in Halls. Pallbearers: Phillip David Oehlberg, Jr., Kevin Alexander Oehlberg, Christopher Alexander Oehlberg, Paul Oehlberg. Honorary pallbearers: Krystle Veronica Oehlberg, Hailey Rosalie Alday-Oehlberg. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville.
