Nancy Faye Cook

Nancy Faye Cook-age 80 of Maynardville, born February 9, 1941 passed away Wednesday July 14, 2021 at her home following a long illness. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Faye was a retired employee of Palm Beach following which she ran her own store (Carlyle’s) for 12 years and worked at Kay’s Market for 14 years. She was a graduate of Horace Maynard High School, Class of 1959. Preceded in death by husband, Carlyle Austin Cook; parents, Raymond Hale Tyree and Helen Ruth Weaver; brother, Doyle Edward Tyree.

Survivors: son, Marty Cook; ex-daughter-in-law, Lina Michelle Cook; granddaughter, Katilyn Williams and husband Joshua Gary Lee Williams; grandson, Cody Dwayne Cook and fiancé, Lillie May Smith; granddaughter, Gracie Reagan Trott; brother, Raymond Kyle Tyree; sister, Charlotte Kay Butler and husband, Wayne; Special friends, Nancy Thomas, Nadine Oaks and Geovany Creech. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles along with a host of friends. She was loved by many.

The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2021 with funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. Friday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Brian Cooke officiating with music by The Valley Boys. Interment 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021, Big Barren Cemetery, Maynardville. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10 a.m. to go in the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Josh Williams, Cody Cook, Dalton Dann, Geovany Creech, Austin Munsey, Zachary Hurst. The family will be meeting at 1000 Little Valley Road, Maynardville. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
