MIchael "Mickey" Mulberry

Michael “Mickey” Mulberry, 48yrs, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on December 13, 2017 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Visitation will be available between 6pm and 7:30pm on Sunday, December 17th, at Mynatt Funeral Home, 4131 E. Emory Road. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation. Burial will be in Tampa Florida at the Gardens of Memories. Michael was born in Gainesville, Florida to Andy & Hilda Mulberry on May 25, 1969. In 1987, he graduated from Buchholz High School in Gainesville, FL and attended Santa Fe Community College. He graduated from the Police Academy in Ocala, FL where he met his wife, Sherry Mulberry (McDaniel) in 1999 and married her in 2004. Over the course of 17 years he worked in law enforcement in both Florida and Tennessee serving as a corrections officer, police officer, deputy and school safety officer. Michael loved all sports and loved the Tampa Bay Rays and Buccaneers. He was much involved in his children’s participation in sports and church activities. Michael never met a stranger and always found a way to touch the lives of those around him through his fun living spirit. Michael is survived by his parents Andy and Hilda, wife Sherry, his children Michael (Akira), Korey and Alexis, brothers Darrell (Ella Mae) and Greg (Cee Cee), granddaughter Maliya, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The Mulberry family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the Regal Entertainment Group Family for all of their love and support. In addition, all of the amazing staff at CTCA (Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Atlanta, the 3rd floor nurses, doctors and food service workers at Tennova North Hospital, Knox County Schools and all of our dear family and friends.
