Luna Sharp-age 78 of Maynardville, formerly of Sharps Chapel passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by his parents, Pascal (Big Eye) Sharp and Alma (Sowder) Sharp; brothers, Ralph Sharp, James Claudie Sharp, Monteray Sharp; sisters, Bessie Jane Johnson, Dottie Williams, Hilda Braden, Lorene Collins; nephew, Mike Sharp.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Martha Sharp; sister, Joyce (Wayne) Lee; brother, Bob Sharp, special brother, Fred West; brothers and sisters in law, James Braden, Mildred Sharp, Angela Sharp, Kyle and Hazel Lay and many special nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Special friends and care givers, Mary Lou Grizzell, Penny Wilson, Ricky and Jessica Kitts as well as all his friends and neighbors in the subdivision.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, Rev. Greg Sharp, Rev. Tim Sharp and Rev. Colton Rutherford officiating, music by David Painter and Barbara Hatfield. Interment will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Brogan Family Cemetery, Sharps Chapel. Pallbearers: Steve Collins, Stanley Collins, Brandon Collins, Justin Sharp, Keith Williams, Kevin Williams, Tim Sharp, Aaron Sharp, Garry Lee, Rick Johnson, Raymond Johnson, Chris Fine, Phillip Shockley. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary to go with the funeral procession. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville.
