Loretta Hill

Loretta Jean (Collins) Hill- age 75 of Maynardville, born September 17, 1946 went home to meet her Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ peacefully in the early hours of Monday, December 6, 2021 at the home of her son Eric. Loretta was a faithful member of Warwick’s Chapel Baptist Church and graduate of HMHS class of 1963. Loretta had several loving nicknames down through the years such as “Retta”; “Rhet”, “Aunt Rhett”; “Lou” and the most memorable was “Mom” as she was called by most teenagers, co -workers and customers from her time working at Booker’s One Stop Market. She loved them everyone. Loretta was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all that knew her. Her smile, her love and laugh will never leave the memories of those she touched. She is now truly happy being with the love of her life JC Hill who she missed so dearly since he passed October 1, 2017. Through their loving union they had 3 wonderful children and over 53 years of love, happiness and memories.
She is preceded in death by parents, Lillie (Hamby) Collins Farmer (stepfather Claude Farmer) and Albert Collins; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Willie “Bill” Hill; sister, Barbara Jo (Collins) Redmond; and niece, April (Redmond) England. Loretta is survived by son, Eric Hill (Stephanie Smith); grandchildren, Justin (Corryne) Cameron (fiancé Kendal Whittaker) and Hayden Hill; daughter, Vanessa (Jimmy) Arthur; grandchildren Ryan (Maylea) Arthur and Isaac Arthur; son Aaron (Stephanie) Hill; grandchildren, Chase and Brock Hill; great grandchildren, Maybree and Reed Arthur; Taevyn Hill and soon to be Huxley Hill; sisters-in-law, Alba June (Albert) Merritt and Edna (Len) Johnson; special daughter, Robin (Wolfenbarger) Carey; special brother, Rick Redmond; special cousins, June Vincent and Gail Kirtfiel; niece, Stephanie (Merritt) Wise; nephew, Brian Merritt; great nieces, Brandi (Wise) Glaser and Willow England; many cousins; and friends. The Family would like to say special thank you to Dr. Chinta for the care given to Loretta and the family during the past few years and Okies Pharmacy and Mindy Buckner for her assistance and care with our mother.
The Family will receive friends Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will follow with Reverend Ray Headrick officiating. The processional to Dyer Cemetery will immediately follow for a graveside service. Serving as pallbearers are grandsons, Ryan and Isaac Arthur, Justin, Cameron, Hayden, Chase and Brock Hill; honorary pallbearers, Richard Redmond, Wayne Lynch, Brian, Nicholas and Bryson Sharp.
