Loretta Faye (Oaks) Sherrod – age 76 of Maynardville, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024 in the presence of loved ones. She was a longtime professing believer and follower of The Lord Jesus Christ. Born July 7, 1947 to Claude “Chili” Oaks and Nancy Effler Oaks, Loretta was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.

She is preceded in death by both parents; infant brother, Ronnie Oaks; sister, Wanda Oaks Keller; sister-in-law, Ruth Oaks; lifelong best friend, Doris Norris; stepdaughter, Penny Cole; and husband, Jack Sherrod.

Loretta is survived by devoted daughter, Kay Williams Beeler (Rob); stepson, Phil Sherrod (Jennifer), step daughter, Pam Stalsworth (Donnie) and children; brother, Clyde Oaks; sister, Mildred Howard (Mike); grandson, Matthew Beeler; (Autumn) granddaughter, Kaitlin Beeler Wheeler (Ethan); great grandson, Brantley Beeler; two great granddaughters on their way, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2024 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Dr. Jeff LaBorg officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Trinity to proceed to Effler Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
