Edith Lodene Smith-age 78 of Luttrell passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at her home. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maynardville. She was preceded in death by parents, Luther and Edith Corum; brothers, Leslie, Jerry and Doug Corum; sister, Naomi Corum; nephew, Dudley Corum; niece, Brenda Graham.
Survivors: husband of 58 years, Mack Smith; sister, Mary (H. V.) Keys; several nieces, nephews along with many great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2021 with funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Sunday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Eddie Perry officiating with music by Richard and Linda Nicley. Entombment 1 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2021 at Corum Cemetery, Luttrell. Family and friends will meet at 12 noon Monday to go in the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Frankie Waskom, Greg Corum, Perry Corum, Tim Corum, Kenny Nicley, Carson Tharp; Honorary Pallbearers: Jack Wyrick, Frank Wolfenbarger, Kendall Nicley, Dean Beeler, Andy Arneberg, Bobby Smith, Roger Wynn, Bobby Perry, Shane Waskom. The family would like to thank Dr. Kenny Nicley and Caring Medical Center for the love and care they showed her; also, Caris Hospice and Healthcare, you were her angles and she loved you all.
