Lawrence E. Kane-age 78 of Bean Station, formerly of Goshen, New York, died suddenly Thursday, August 15, 2024, in New Mexico as the result of a traffic accident. Larry was born September 22, 1945, in Sodus, New York, the son of Erwin H. Kane and Marquerite L. Kane. He graduated from Rhinebeck Central Schools, Dutchess Community College, SUNY at New Paltz and received a master's degree from Iona College. He was employed as a social studies teacher for 36 1/2 years in the Warwick Central Schools, drove a Shortline Bus for 27 summers, worked for Monroe Ford, Orange County ETA, and drove a school bus for G&G of Florida, NY.

He is survived by his brother, Neil Kane of Rhinebeck, New York; sister, Paula Scarpapane of Elizaville, New York; stepson, Robert Smith of Talbott, TN.

The family will receive friends 5-6 PM Thursday, August 29, 2024, at First Christian Church, 155 Parker Road, Morristown, with funeral service to follow at 6 PM. His burial will be private as he wished for. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
