Kenneth E. Tharp-age 70 of Powder Springs, born March 23, 1947 passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at his home. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by parents, Rosco Tharp and Reba Merritt; brothers, Ralph Tharp, J. L. and Swan Tharp, Sammy Merritt; sisters, Zola Perry and Susie Kitts.

Survived by nephew, Ivan Capps and wife, Marilyn along with a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 with funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Friday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Doyle Wolfenbarger officiating. Private burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
