Joyce Flatford Warwick – age 78 of Maynardville, passed away peacefully at her son’s home on Friday, September 29, 2023. She leaves a beautiful testimony behind of salvation with her husband at 21 at Bryam’s Fork Baptist Church. A wonderful worker and witness for the Lord. Her race is run, she finished the fight. Joyce was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church where her grandson, Reverend Charles “Tyler” Warwick is pastor. Joyce was a member of seven different churches as a pastor’s wife, except for two, Macedonia and Valley Grove. “Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.” Proverbs 3:17.

She is preceded in death by husband, Reverend Charles “Chip” Warwick; parents, Fred and Vola Flatford; sister, Paulette Flatford; and brothers, Jack Flatford and Jerry Flatford. Joyce leaves behind a loving son and daughter-in-law, Charles Trever and Robin Warwick of Maynardville; grandson, Reverend Charles Tyler and Jessica Warwick of Clinton; great grandson, Charles Conner Warwick of Clinton; brother, Jimmy (Becky) Flatford of Norris; sisters, Janice Robinson of Knoxville, Bernice (Wayne) Taylor of Knoxville; and Judy (Kenny) Johnson of Maynardville; nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2023 at Valley Grove Baptist Church in Maynardville. The service to follow with Reverend Kyle Shell and Reverend Mark Flatford officiating. Family and friends will meet 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Trinity to proceed to New Loyston Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service. Serving as pallbearers, Bobby Lord, Jeff Jenkins, Richie Ryan, Charlie Muncey, Cody Leftwich and Tyler Hunter; honorary pallbearers, Jimmy Flatford, Shane Johnson, Johnny Jenkins, Harry Ryan, John Hutchison and Randy Flatford.
