Joyce Ann Hopkins – age 80 of Sharps Chapel, went home to be with Jesus Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was saved at the age of 12 and attended Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church and Irwin’s Chapel Methodist Church in Sharps Chapel. She was born March 20, 1943 in Ocala, Florida. She retired as a cake decorator and artist. She loved birds, Elvis and her Lord Jesus.
Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Wayne Hopkins Sr.; father, Tom Cotton; step-mother, Leona Cotton; mother, Sarah Cotton; brother, Tommy Cotton; several aunts and uncles.
Survived by her son, Wayne Hopkins Jr. and wife Tina; grandchildren, Melissa Hopkins and Chance Trimble, Ryan Hopkins and Brianna Callahan, Kianah Hobbs; three great-grandchildren; special pup, Sugar; best friend, Gwen Welch of Memphis.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm, officiated by Brother Michael Bailey, music by Diane Lay. Family and friends will meet Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary at 1:00 pm to go in procession to Oak Grove Cemetery for a 2:00 pm interment.
