Johnny Ray Janeway
Johnny Ray Janeway-age 63 of Knoxville took his Heavenly flight on Father’s Day, June 18, 2017 at his home. He was a member of American Baptist Church. Johnny was a retired employee of the University of Tennessee Athletic Department with 41 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Ray and Frances (Nelson) Janeway.
Survivors: Loving wife of 44 years, Carolyn Munsey Janeway; daughter and caregiver, Angel Hutchinson; daughter, Katie; son, Joey Janeway; grandchildren, Cierra, Breanna and Johnny Hutchinson, Megan and Noah Janeway; sister, Judy McGill and husband, Charlie; aunt, Leslie Roberts; sisters-in-law, Pam and Debbie. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Jamie Webber, Rev. Charlie McGill officiating. Interment 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2017, Boruff Cemetery, Washburn. Pallbearers: Joey Janeway, Noah Janeway, Aaron Isbel, William Mitchell, Jamie Rogers, Donnie Nicley, Tyler Munsey, Johnny Hutchinson, II; Honorary Pallbearers: Pat Isbel, Wesley Suffridge, Jason Lyles, Jason Roulette, Jimmy Munsey, Travis Wilson, Antoine Davis, Bob Key, Mike Bullen and Employees of the University of Tennessee Athletic Department.
