Jay Dyke-age 92 of Sharps Chapel went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Claiborne Medical Center. He was a member of Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church and a retired Teamster with T.V.A. He was the son of the late James and Clatis (Welch) Dyke; also preceded in death by wife, Jewell Sharp Dyke; son, Larry Dyke; daughters, Pamela Dyke Collins, Debra Dyke; grandson, Jason Collins and Jimmy Brantley; great-grandson, Dillon Collins brothers and sisters, Robert, Carl, Lonnie, Mary, Fern and Maggie.
Survivors: daughters, Cathy (Danny) Collins; Glenda (Norman) Brantley; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Special nephew, Gary Lynn Ellison.
Graveside service and interment 2 P.M. Friday, Taylor’s Grove Cemetery, Sharps Chapel, Rev. Greg Sharp officiating. Pallbearers: Mike Dyke, Jay Dyke, Seth Moyers, Noah Moyers, Jacob Moyers, Justin Collins. Honorary Pallbearer: Kevin Collins. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
