CHILDRESS, James Ray, 72, Maynardville, TN, passed away November 20, 2023, at home of natural causes. Jim was retired after a career in real estate, RV, and auto sales. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Martin Todd and Jessica Childress; granddaughter, Selena Rose; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Gary Henderson and Janet and Richard Bolus, all of Knoxville; and brother, Thomas Childress who resides at the Veterans Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. He is survived by numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kathryn Ruth and Clyde Mitchell Childress. Jim was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors.
