J. C. Hill
Jesse “J. C.” Hill – age 74 of Maynardville, born in Luttrell, Tennessee May 13, 1943, went home to meet his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ early Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center after a short illness. J. C. was a long standing member of Warwick’s Chapel Baptist Church where he gave his heart to the Lord at age 11 on November 28, 1954. He served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years and loved the Lord and his church family. He was a graduate of HMHS class of ’62. J. C. served his country proudly in the United States Army and was proud to be soldier and a veteran. He coached Little and Big League Baseball for several years and served as a board member on the Union County Little League. He was Chairman of the Board of Dyer Cemetery for 19 years. He was one of the founding members of Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard and a lifetime member of American Legion Post 212. J. C. was previously an employee of Jarvis Welding in Maynardville. Of all his accomplishments, he was most proud of his wife, children and grandchildren. You could see the love in his smile and the twinkle in his eyes. He provided love and support for his family that can never be replaced or forgotten.
J. C. is survived by love of his life for 53 years and 9 months, Loretta Collins Hill; son, Eric (Melissa) Hill; grandchildren, Justin (Corryne) Cameron and Hayden Hill; daughter, Vanessa (Jimmy) Arthur; grandchildren, Ryan (Maylea) Arthur and Isaac Arthur; son, Aaron (Stephanie) Hill; grandsons, Chase and Brock Hill; sisters, Edna (Len) Johnson and Alba June (Albert) Merritt and grandchildren, Maybree and Reed Arthur; special daughter, Robin Carey; special brother, Rick Redmond; nieces, nephews and several cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will immediately follow with Reverend Ray Headrick, Reverend Stuart Skeen and Reverend Joe Padgett officiating. Pallbearers, Ryan and Issac Arthur, Justin, Cameron, Hayden, Chase and Brock Hill, Farris Collins and Brian Sharp; Honorary Pallbearers, Bill Cox, James “Jay” Lynch, Wayne Lynch, Matthew Collins, Issac Collins and employees of Jarvis Welding. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m., October 4, 2017 at Trinity Funeral Home to go in procession to Dyer Cemetery in Luttrell, for an 11:00 a.m. interment service with Military Honors conducted by Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard.
