Flossie Irene “Nanny” Sherritze-age 90 of Maynardville, born December 3, 1927 went to be with her Lord Sunday morning, February 18, 2018 at home. She was devoted to her family and her church. She was a member of Hines Creek Baptist Church in which she was instrumental in getting organized in the early 1950’s. Preceded in death by parents, Edgebert and Lucy Wyrick; husband, Charles “Rattler” Sherritze; daughter, Norma Faye Sherritze; brothers, Ralph, John, Fate, Jim, Ceba, Swann, J. Will and Earl Wyrick.

Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Junior Loy; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Clarissa Sherritze; grandchildren, Andrea and Rodney Hensley, Laura and Davy Floyd, Timothy “Daniel” Sherritze; great-grandchildren, Blake and Dylan Hensley, Avery and Hayes Floyd, Wade and Eve Sherritze, Chase and Kaylee; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Special friends, Carolyn Harrell, Judy Grissom, Randy Johnson and devoted nephew, Keith Wyrick.

The body will be removed to the Hines Creek Baptist Church, Maynardville where the family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 with funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Bobby Kitts and Rev. Mark Large officiating with eulogy by Tim Sherritze. Music by Steve Foster and Donald Beason. Interment 11 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018 Hines Creek Church Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the church 10:30 a.m. Thursday to proceed to the graveside. Pallbearers: Blake, Dylan and Rodney Hensley, Davy Floyd, Daniel Sherritze, Keith Wyrick; Honorary Pallbearers: Avery, Hayes, Wade, Eve, Chase and Kaylee, Randy Johnson.
